The little faces next to the players are "mood faces".

Pink = very happy
red = happy
yellow = average
blue = sad
purple = very sad

They can affect the way that a player plays.
There is no real way to change them, they just change on their own.

I think it's more "condition" faces than "mood" faces and i think it makes players a touch slower, weaker, slightly more error prone, and injury prone.

I think the difference is most noticable with pitchers. Their balls are slower with less break and they tire more quickly.

It can be controlled in the options for exhibition or practice, I don't think it works in season though.

You can turn off the condition faces all together in the options (I believe). I think that it's just called "Condition ON/OFF"

Don't quote me though... Sorry I couldn't help more...

Muahahaha!

Just realized that this is the DS subforum. You can turn off the moods in the console version, but I have no idea about the DS version.

I've played the DS version before (and I really enjoyed it!) and I think that that option i in that game too.

If not, just exit and re-enter the game until you get desired faces (in exhibition mode).
