Is it just me or do these things break too easily? My $1M machine broke after a couple of months max.... was more like 1 month actually.

And it doesn't seem to be random. My Monster Maker Cast broke, so I tried to S/L and it broke every time on the next practice.

maybe it has a # of uses counter on it and when its life is used up, it breaks?

if so, the machines that cost $1M arent very cost efficient... its close to paying $100k per use

I believe you are correct. However, the higher priced items do give you bigger benefits per use. I guess it's the developer's way of balancing out the game so your stats aren't through the roof. Though, mine already is before I started My Life...

What's the monster maker cast do? I'm a paycheck away from having the $5 million to buy it, but the description doesn't give much of a clue as to what it does.

It boosts every ability more than most equipment. You can also use the others at the same time so it stacks. Useful but brittle.
