but he's been great defensively, popular with the fans, and a clutch hitter.
Although now that i think about it, Volquez should win it.

Volquez isn't even elligible for rookie of the year, he's played too many games while he was with texas. It'll be Soto hands down, even though Votto had better numbers in avg hr and I think RBI's. Anyway, Fukudome isn't really that good, he started out good then fell off he has zero chance at getting ROTY.

Then in AL you got Evan Longoria Alexi Ramirez and a slim chance of Justin Masterson and Jacoby Ellsbury.

Nah, It's gotta be Longoria.
I'm not trying to be biased, but he's great at hitting for average, has great defense and good arm strength, and can show nice power at times (Game 1, for example). He also has decent speed. He's like a slower David Wright, almost.

Was the Rookie of the Year a pitcher? He may have performed better then you did and pitchers probably aren't contendible for MVs in this game (nor should they be in my opionion, they have Cy Young. I think it shouldn't be called MVP though because that makes it look like its refering to every player).

I take that to offense, I got MVP, but I didn't get ROTY. But then, in the character screen, it says if you're eligible for ROTY or not. Usually, Success Characters aren'ty, but that's with my experience.

Besides, you have to think about it, batters have so many awards just for offense, and then there's defense where few pitchers can get unless they get super lucky when a freaki9ng screamer is hit right back at them. I would love to see a pitcher get MVP, that'd be so awesome! Tim Lincecum next year, MVP!

It depends on their years in the majors. If you chose 0, then they can get it. If not, then what I said before is most likely the cause. What did I say to offend you, did I miss something?

I said it more as an expression. It's just it would be interesting to see a pitcher win MVP. Can you imagine a pitcher on the cover of MLB 09 The Show? Aww, that'd be so sexy! LMAO!
