Personally, I think it would flippin-sweet if we didn't have the ability to choose what team we want to play for in this mode. Instead, we'd be drafted, and we wouldn't be able to choose when, so it'd be custom, and our abilities are dependant on the fact where we are drafted. Obviously, a first-round pick would be better than a twentieth, but that's just an example.

We'd be able to choose what pitches we throw if we're a pitcher, whether we want to be a starter or not, and for hitters they'd just have the default ability of choosing what posistion(s) to play and whether or not they want to be contact, power, speed, or fielding-based.

This would just make this mode for thrilling for me because I wouldn't be constantly starting on the team I want to be on, instead I'd have to try and work my way there.

We'd start in single-A and work ourselves up. :)

Honestly, this is probably the wrong section, but I just had to post this somewhere because I thought of it at school and wanted to share it.

Well, the Single-A (It's actually AA) stuff is already detailed in Success mode.

Also, there is only 5 rounds in the MLB Career Mode section of MyLife.

Also, I'd like to be a starter as a pitcher, because the pitchers I make always are relievers, but that's what talking with the coaches are for: to decide your role on the team.

The stuff with fielders is already detailed in the MLB Career mode section of MyLife.

I like the other stuff, though. Sorry if this seems confusing.

Im with ya Dr. K. Other games like Inside the Park Baseball had you just enter the draft, no idea of what team to play for. Picking it should be an option, but random should be an option too. As well as drafting, signing bonus, etc. Maybe you can go play in the independent leagues for a year! That would be cool.

But if you want to randomize it, just pick a random team. you'll be traded a few times and be a free agent eventually anyway; I started out on the Reds as a 5th OF'er, but hopefully I'll be traded at some point.

MLB the show has the best "MLB life". you start from single A and you get to play ALL spring training games.

This would all be neat, but it should go in the "Fix-It" thread. I love the ideas, though!
