I am a pitcher that i created in Success Mode who has A stamina.

Keep in mind that my condition is bad (as in the blue face)
Ok, so I am in the midst of pitching my first perfect game. (i already had 6 shutout, complete games. And the game was on normal so that the difficulty could alter based on my performance.)

I am in the ninth innning and the "3 more outs until a perfect game" message comes up. I was already starting to get tired (the wipe sweat motion) and it was happening during the 8th inning too.

I get the first batter to ground out in two pitches. The next batter i strike out. Then all of a sudden.......

MY PITCHER IS EXAHSTED (the breathing hard motion) AND THE COACH PUTS IN THE CLOSER TO PITCH THE LAST OUT!!

On the day I had 16 stikeouts...a season high...which would a few games later be beaten by a 22 stikeout complete game (in great condition of course)

I was one out away from a perfect game.... :|

Yeah, motivation has a lot to do with how many pitches you throw, so you couldn't throw many pitches anyway.

This player sounds really awesome! Have you gotten the mirror of truth yet?

no, believe it or not this happened during the first season that I was playing in. I think that being a rookie had something to do with it, you know, the fact that the league has no idea how I pitch or in that they dont know my pitches well enough.

I ended up the season 26-3 (and paid well over 500 thousand dollars because i had forgotten about the "mistake" scenario....) And we won the World Series beating the Mets in six games.

oh well it all worked out, my pitcher now has a 2,800,000 dollar contract and was already out of debt before the second month of the season. :D

But I already lost 2 times thanks to that one mistake pitch that kills you in heated pitching duels..... :(

anyways, the stats of my pitcher were as followed (when i started MLB Life mode) :

top speed: 80
control: G 60
stamina: A 167 or so...

pitches

Knuckel ball - 4
sinker -1
spliter - 2
Knuckel Curve ball - 2

I think my abilities were:

Spin 4
Durability 4
Strong Finisher

I forgot the rest but the best part of it was that I did not even have the CONSISTENCY ability.

Basically I wanted a pitcher similar to Tim Wakefield but with more breaking balls.

I guess I just pitched one of those games you know?

Do you know what upgrades you got him @ the beginning (Power P, Junkball P, etc.)

I couldn't because I created him in Success Mode. I didnt make him from the normal MLB Life Mode where you pick strengths and weaknesses.

Edit: Not to mention that in success Mode, I didnt bother improving control because I wanted to make a starting pitcher who could pitch complete games. I also got lucky with my starting top speed actually being 80.

I think I make good pitchers in Succes Mode because I establish what type of pitcher i want early on instead of thinking, "ok, try to make the best possible pitcher" because all pitchers have a weakness. Hey, even "Galaxy Sharks" Sittch has 2 VS runner in order to not make him totaly unstoppable. Not to mention only B stamina

I guess what I am trying to say is to go into Success Mode with a plan for your pitcher. That way, you can make them better than just getting random pitches that dont go well together.

This sorta happened to me, but I had a 10 inning no hitter, and I lost. Page link:http://www.mlbppworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2677

That's happened to me at least 10 times, all with my created pitchers. The thing is, the AI in the game is really stupid, like, retarded stupid (no offense). I mean, 1 out left, coach pulls me out. That shows no sympathy or trust, especially when you have him full at 5 stars! WTH!?

Newer scenario, I made a pitcher from scratch. A closer. Well, runner at 3rd, and the ball is hit right to the SS. Instead of checking the runner and throwing to 1st, he goes straight to home. Then, next pitch, again, right to him and goes to home instead of turning 2! WTF!? Then, I blew it with a grand slam that put the team ahead by 1 or 2. This was my 3rd save attempt of my rookie season. ><

wow, I dont even know how to respond to that. Either the game hates you that much or you just may be the most unlucky person in the world. If I am reading this correctly, the scenerio I described has happened to you 10 times???

And as for the stupid AI, my favorite example, next to the outfielders running in "L" shaped routes to catch the ball, is when there is a runner on first and the ball is hit softly to first baseman and instead of stepping on first base, he throws the ball to second, the runner is safe, the ball is then thrown back to first but it is too late. go figure.....
