They are totally random every time you play, but you can get them off the player stats screen, just like in season mode. |

From what I noticed, he never gets better. If you'd like to see Oakley in the majors, what i like to see sometimes, you want to start off with a created character. He's about an average to above-average player in the game, and sometimes, just straight up beastly. But, if you create a character from scratch, he'll suck and you won't see him in the majors until they start using weak players that will never develop. |

Oakley is such an enigma. He comes in several shades of color (so far black and white for me, maybe tan someday...); he sometimes beats you to the major and sometimes he's never makes it out unless it's September or the team just happens to include him; he has seemingly bad luck with the ladies; and he's your constant friend compared to other major leaguers. Share your Oakley stories/thoughts on him here. |

my main Oakley stories are as follows: w/my Rangers catcher, Oak won rookie of the year while my guy mostly hit singles DHing. Over a decade later, we're both still in Texas, my guy currently chasing 900 HR while Oakley's still hanging on for dear life, lol. my other Oakley tale takes place in Baltimore, where my guy was a young closer and Oakley was the starter who managed to lose 21 straight games before finally recording his first win. |

does Oakley follow you to other teams? I hate Oakley. Here's a Life mode where you have to try SO hard to crack a real-life MLB squad, that already has a starter whever you are - and what does the game do? Give you another guy, on the same team, in the same position, slightly better than you right at the start. Thanks! My first Life mode guy was a Reds OF'er - not only could he not crack the starting squad with his poor abilities, but anything he could do, Oakley did better, making him useless and expendable. Great job, designers! Way to make me stick with Success mode players from here out. My Nick James guy, the slugger - Oakley isn't even on the MLB squad. Not sure where he is, hopefully traded. |

Oakley doesn't follow you, he's just another player, he can be traded or he can stay with his original team. |
