Post subject:  Happy Alexanderson: Making the Majors Happier :)

This is the guy I just posted about that I made in Success. He's really good and he might be dominant, but we'll see how it goes.

First name: Happy
Last name: Alexanderson
Nickname: Hap

Happy was born in Moscow right at the tail end of the USSR. Still, it wasn't easy. Happy's dad, Alexander Alexanderson and Hap's mom, Alexandra Alexanderson, were constantly looking for a better life for their three daughters, Maria, Sasha, and Nadia, and their youngest son, Happy. Why is his name Happy you ask? Nobody knows. Not even his dad, who named him.
Happy and his sisters were always discriminated for being Jewish and their father speaking out against the communist government. Alexander always wanted his children to be happy and proud of their upbringing, but how could they do it with the Soviet Union?

Happy was three when his father had had enough.
"That's it! We're leaving for America!" he said.
So they did. Don't ask how. When they had landed in America, they heard the report that the USSR had fallen. Everyone in the family went crazy that they had just moved for nothing except for his dad. He always said, "Had we stayed in Russia it would not have been better, Soviet Union or no Soviet Union, here we are free to be happy. Don't take it for granted, my son.

Happy didn't. In Russia, he had already begun to play hockey and basketball, and he stuck with them, but here, here he discovered baseball! His whole family did! They loved it! Happy was amazing! He developed a pitch no one had ever heard of!
He was drafted out of high school and even though his dad wanted him to go to college, Hap is now on the Dodgers.

Whew. So, did you guys like it? Post your comments!

Thanks! My best player yet! I'm gonna post the password once I learn how to post pictures. Oh, and, he bats/throws L/L and he has Orlando Hernandez's pitching form.

From now on, it will (mostly) be told by Happy in the first person.

Dear Family,
Today was my first day of Spring Training. I am very young and the pitching staff is full so it is highly unlikely I will make the team. I'm only 19 so I have much time to improve. Managers seem nice. I am making friends and getting much media attention. I will keep writing you,
Love,
Happy

P.S. Make sure Sasha, Maria, and Nadia get their letters at college.

I didn't have to wait long to get a response.

Dear Son,
I told you you should have gone to college. You could have gone with your sisters! Now you are playing for the Dodgers many miles away from Brooklyn. Could you somehow coax the owners to brin the team back? Anyway, I am very proud of you. We got MLB extra innings so we can watch your games. Also the women are dying to visit Los Angeles. I cannot understand them at times.

From,
Dad

Man, it seemed like he was actually here. I met a guy named Ethan Oakley today. He is very self-confident. Our conversation went like this,

"Hey, Hap. What's up?" he said.
"Huh?" was all I could say back.
"I'm Oakley! Come on. You don't know me? I'm a sixth round draft pick!"

"And I was taken in the first round." I replied. "Anyway, nice to meet you."

"You're Russian, huh? A Russian ball player. You don't see that everyday." he said.

We began practice. I worked on my Drop curve. At the end, I got cocky and started showing off my HAPPYBALL. Everyone took notice quickly saying things like,
"Whoah, its true!" or, "I heard rumors about this on SportsCenter!"

"Hey! How'd you learn how to throw that?" Oakley asked.

"Boy, you ask a lot of questions." I said.

"Well if you'd answer them maybe I'd stop." he said, impatiently.

"When I was a boy, I would grip rocks a certain way and whip them at the Soviet police" he looked at me in non-belief.

"No, really, I learned from a ninja/spy/cheater/great pitcher." I said.

"I'm not sure which one I believe" he said, then left.

More to come later. See ya!

In spring training I pitched 9 innings of relief in 3 games stacking up 15 K's and 0 ER until the fourth game.

"Hey, Hap. You're starting." Joe Torre said.
"Really? I am?" I asked.

"Yeah! Now get out there!" he replied.

I was facing the Reds. A pretty hard hitting team. I wasn't warm, but I pitched well. I gave up my only run of Spring Training, and threw a lot of wild pitches, but I earned five K's. Joe Torre told me that I had earned a spot in the majors. I still don't consider myself a major leaguer, though. I haven't done anything yet! I need to prove myself first! When we left the locker room in Florida for the last time, Russell Martin introduced himself to Oakley and I. It was really cool. Other than Oakley, my agent Matthew, and my coaches, I really don't know anybody.
Also, did you know the drinking age in the U.S. is 21? I've been drinking since age 11. It's fine in Russia. Mom and dad always let us have alcohol. This is going to take some adjusting.

When Oakley introduced himself he should've said, "What's the haps?"

Other than that, no complaints.
