Do you think as a young player you should be able to improve your stats gradually like in some games. Or just start out good or you're doomed. Someone should try a run through of My Life mode with one of the "Marvin" characters. Alright you don't have to finish it, just see what it's like trying to play with the worst player possible.

Well I'd hope it's like season mode where you train your players and they gradually get better in different areas.

I think that's pretty much the best you can hope for. It'd be pointless to make a good character if you could train all Cs to all As in the 1st couple years.

According to that version that Pawapuro played he had to continuly train he's pitcher. He went from a C stamina that got him started as a long releiver, went to closer with B stamina, untill earning a starting job after training for better breaking pitches. He started when he was 23 and when he was 29 he noticed his training was slowing down. If 08 conitinues with this I think it will take some time build your player up, especailly to keep him at a level later in his career.
