I wonder if you can make the person standing in your way bad. Just make him really terrible and you get to beable to start the first year. It is not in the spirite of the game, but it would be cool to do it when you want to be rookie of the year.

If the rosters are handled like season mode, whatever edit you make to the people will stay in tact for my life. So, yes you could if the rosters are handled the same for my life as season mode. With that being said, I wouldn't do it, I would want to earn the starting spot.

I think you'll get your opportunities to start regardless of who is playing in front of you. As long as you do well in those chances, you'll get a spot. If you really want to get a starting job, I'm sure there will also be opportunities to switch positions to fill a need much like in success mode. At least I hope that's the case. I know a lot of people want the position the start the game with though.

Probably like success mode, where you have to earn a spot by training and getting noticed by the coach. (regardless of stats)

You would need to impress the AAA coach first right?

johnny when you're a pinch hitter don't go for homeruns as you'll fly out more.
instead focus on getting hits and eventually you'll be able to start as a regular fielder.
