You pick your appearance when creating your guy

You can come from HS, College, or an Indep. Lg, draft round, ability type, power pitcher, workhorse etc,2 streangths 1 weakness, and a hobby

lotta strengths, one of the weaknesses was Ugly Dude, maybe reduces fans

Mathhew's your scout i think

Hobby's provide change of pace, boosting condition, and baseball abilities

I made a junkball pitcher with nasty breaking ball, junkball pitcher, variety of pitches, my stats were 82 mph,d control, e stam, lvl 2 snk/v-sld/sld, spin 4, my weakness was shuuto spin

You're not giving success another try? :(

Can't wait to read more on this mode as well.

Do you choose your team?

Yes, I wanted to get as much info out as possible

and you do pick your team

Your have a lvl at how good you are at a hobby too, looks like they are more important than i thought at first

also a growth chart from the start of your career to where you are now

Shuuoto Spin can actually be a positive. Doesn;t it just add some spin to your fastball?

Well that doesn't seem right. I thought it would be more fun to not know who would draft you.

Is there an option to be place on a random team? I agree that it would be fun to not know your destination

I picked the phillies so im not sure, also there is a friends list that people are added to so you can see your relationship

got put in the bottom of the 6th, and am doing ok

shuuto spin is actually helping me though, had a 1-2-3 inning

got the win in my second ST game

shuuoto is a positive attribute (even if spin on a fastball is bad in Japan). It is like having a cut fastball.

Thanx for all the updates

Thanks a bunch mike94100. I'm trying to get as much of an edge I can before I get going tonight.

Thank god for that. I was hoping I wouldn't be stuck with one player for 20 years. How boring would that be?

Neat My Life tidbits from the manual:

- A year is broken up into the following phases: Spring Training workouts, Exhibition games, Regular Season, Playoffs, Contract renewal/Free agency negotiations, Off-season.

- There's both Vitality and Fatigue to keep track of. When Vitality gets low (drops from performing various actions, from playing in games, practicing, traveling, etc), Fatigue will start to build up. Injuries are more likely to occur as Fatigue goes up, and it will be harder to improve Condition. Fatigue cannot be simply restored by resting for a day - I'm assuming it's either more of a gradual reduction over time or through item use.

- You can fast-forward through the schedule, though certain events can't be bypassed.

- Players with a large number of Fans will be less likely to be traded or released, and will see more frequent helpful events such as equipment sponsorship or TV conmmercials.

- You do have to pay taxes, so keep in mind a pretty good chunk of your salary will have to go to taxes when negotiating contracts. When paying taxes you always go by your previous year's salary.

- This is more of a general thing than a My Life specific one, but the game keeps track of All-Time Team Records as well as All-Time Season and Career Records. So you can shoot for becoming the Kansas City Royals all-time RBI leader if you really want to.

- You can end My Life through any of the following: you hit your 20th year in your career, you reach the age of 60, or you decide to retire on your own.
