Are there slumps in MLB Life mode, or is it just me not playing the video game well?

I'm pretty sure there are slumps.

I was killing the ball the first month, then I couldn't hit a thing. I think It also has to do with how popular you are and whether they scout you or not. It seemed like after about a month, I was only getting balls low and away. It took a little while until I timed it to start pulling those balls out of the park. Then, I got another scouting message, and the same thing happened, except I was only getting balls inside. So, I think the scouting and popularity have a lot to do with it as well.

Your motivation seems to also effect your bat-size. At times, it was a size larger, and when I was feeling bad, it was a size smaller than normal.

Also, when they realize what your "cold spots" are, the scouts will circulate that and pitchers will avoid throwing you anything good. So you need to adapt on a regular basis to stay one step ahead of the scouts.

Motivation/condition definitely make a difference in bat cursor size. It's important to make sure you improve condition in practice when you notice it slipping.

Very true, my guy slumped into the purple face and I couldn't hit anything for a week. I just kept practicing alone and eventually got myself out of it.

Is that the only way to get out of it? I like all of you started off on a tear and then went on an 0-forever slump. He's finally climbing out of it. Do you think it's more or less random like last year?

It might be, but after about half a season the gauge probably will have made a couple of cycles. Heads down, then back up, and then back down. Not much you can do about it.

I've noticed that the condition thing does this sort of back and forth thing that you can't control. It will go up to the pink face, then it takes a couple weeks, and it goes down to a purple face, then in a couple weeks, back up to pink face, etc.

Yeah I thought it might be like that. Need to find a way to get Consistency 4.

It's so frusturating when you're a pitcher going through these cycles believe me. I'm almost ready to call this mode "broken" because you can never be good. you go through 5 good starts then 5 horrible starts and i think it is stupid that you can't do anything about it.

Ive had a pitcher do well in a slump. Just dont leave any thing above the lower part of the strike zone. I dont get as many K's, but i can get enough groundouts/popouts to get through the game

i don't mind it, you can still do well during a slump, just not dominate

if you're doing too well (imo), it's no fun anyways
