Well some of you have probably seen of my posts about Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Next. Over in the

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2246&start=60

Over the years I've become quite fond of the japanese culture and there technology. Every thing from the Mazda Rotary engines and yes (I know mazda did not invent the rotary engine Felix Wankel did), to every thing Samuria related. I've even collected some learn Japanese books over the years. My love for the rotary engine and love with the Konami Power Pro franchise has pushed me more into seriously learning the written language. Within the last week and a half I've obtained Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Next, and Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Wii Ketteiban and just loved both of these games to death. I've even taken my Wii to work so me and a good friend and can play the Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Next together as we are big time baseball fans in general. Now granted I only gotten into the Power Pro side of the house back in late 2007 with the very 1st MLB Power Pro on the Wii. I've grown to love the franchise for every thing the different games offer. Some of you maybe thinking how I play these japanese games on my american Wii. Well lets just say I'm good with researching any thing I'm facinating with to including making my Wii playing any region game I want etc etc. The Jikkyou Powerful Pro games that came out for the Wii has just blown my mind with a diiferent view of the game even though I know very very very little japanese. I was playing the Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Wii Ketteiban version this morning and just saw that you could play as a manager type postion which I just love. Chee2424 I know you have a very wide range of knowledge of the japanese series, would you please enlighten this topic with your experience.

P.S sorry for the long drawn out story but I just had to share the way I for the game

Domo arigato gudo waisu kun (Thank you very much Goodways my friend [male]). I wouldn't exactly say wide, but I've been around the bases (lol). Power pros japan has the great characters of NPB as we have alvin and melvin in the states.

For my japanese experence My school was one of five schools in my state that taught japanese. This was before anime was HUGE, back when DBZ was just getting to the of frieza. I passed all 3 courses in my high school and spent all but the first 3 weeks of a semester in japanese II again. I was the first student in my high schools history to be taught one on one. As I grow older my knowledge declines, but I can still pick up some things. My NPB knowledge began with Mr. Baseball with tom selleck with the Chunichi dragons. According to wikipedia *I know I know not excatly creditable* Mr. baseball was based on a true story simliar to jackie robinson, but in japan and for the chibia lotte marines. I jumped for joy when MLB PP came to america. I'm thinking about getting Next, and MLB 09 if it doesn't come stateside. I must say after those two games I may just hang up my hat and quit. I've had a nice run with Power pros but 2K has really F'd us up this year.

The Pawapocketto series is very child like, I suggest nine, ten or eleven first. Like power rangers each pocketto is different. Dash I DO NOT SUGGEST, I've only passed this success once. 3 is crazy hard, you are a baseball robot trying to get 3 million yen yet yabe the douche keeps spenting your money on otaku crap. Seven has a sentai team............lol. Eight is a cop story, nine is about the boogie woogie store, ten was Koishien via baseball academy (1 via collecting the high school students.) again 11 is the division two nippon title again (2 I loved this one). I can't get into the whole pocketto series.

Portable, I only have the first of the three. I suggest getting three because of the success and mylife mode for those on the go like myself.

I'm sorry I went completely into the current era of Power pros. The first game of WII/14, It's was the absouletly easiest success mode ever. My pp was better than my american pp. The story is that the NPB has 18 teams and its up to you to make your vulcans a contender. I loved the six *new teams*pawafurus, keyers, cats, yankees, busters and vulcans. BTW in arrage mode got to mark and choose mr PP, each color is the 4 college kings 1 pawafurus 2 keyers, 3 cathands and finally the yanks. The game states that players from pocketto 10 can be imported (I haven't tested it tho.) WBC mode (called dream japan in keetaban) Kettaban means final edition. The third and final success mode is Koshien mangement game. The My life mode had two more options than americas 3. HR derby can still unlock great OB's. I haven't played a friend with a wii mote tho. This game came out before power pros 07.

I would go on more but's getting late, If anyone has any questions, I'll try to answer them.

if only my wii could play japanese games...
then i could really put 2 years of learning japanese to good use.

do you know if a player made on jikkyou powerful pro yakyuu (wii) can be transferred to mlb power pros wii? i doubt it, but it would be so cool...

Just hack your wii. I don't think it's very hard.

Lance, Nintendo adds ways to block hacking, lucky I got mine hacked before the latest update, first you need zelda twilight then an SD card then type in the twight hack, they will show you how to downgrade and after you make the down grade get wiifree loader if you do this right....................you'll have it made in the shade with a glass of Kool Aid.

I have 14K, love it. It's the easiest Success mode in POWER PROS HISTORY. Every guy has passed. Here's the deal there are 4 extra teams. The cat hands, yanks, pawafuls and kaisers. They are the colors of mister power pros in the American versions.
Two new teams are added the busters and Vulcan.

For those keeping track

PL
Marines, eagles, hawks, buffaloes, Fighters and lions
CL
Giants, bay stars, Tigers, swallows, carp (2011 edit oops lol) and My dragons
RL
Yanks, busters, Vulcan, Cat hands, Kaisers, and powerful

You play as the vulcans, and your goal is to win the japanese (world) series. For those of you wondering the winners and a 4th seed is chosen. The 4th seed has always been a PL team........even the eagles. Infact I had to beat them to win my championship. When you win you can get the retro japanese jersies. If you choose a retro and your player is really good you may wind up with the eagles on mylife mode which is crap.

It has mylife mode, chant maker

BTW I have it on video goodways.

I just unlocked all the teams in success mode on the Power Pro 09. I got play with golden apples 1st, Gigantes 2nd, Guava Strawberrys 3rd, Mon Mon Monkeys 4th. Now I'm gonna play as the Galaxy Sharks last.
Hey lance I'll post picks of those players we talked about as soon as I beat the Galaxy Sharks success mode.
