It's written in Katakana, the language used for foreign words.
クロスファイヤー or KUROSUFAIYAA is interpreted as "Crossfire."

It helps that I've seen the word "crossfire" used in Katakana in another Japanese series:

Zumi, right as you posted that, I found it. You have to type in crossfire, click on alternate translations, and it's there.

Also, does the circle after some of the abilities mean good?

Yes it does. Such as for good catcher and good baseball sense.

Ok then. There's (all start with good) pick off, delivery, low pitch, reflexes. There's also good pace but that's a green ability. Yet, there's six more pitching abilities with the circle, so I guess they added some

Ok, that leaves four slots with a circle and three "good" abilities

You guys are doing amazing work. This will make Success Mode so much better knowing which abilities I have to get in order to make the MLB players I'm creating as true to life as possible.

Speaking of which, come Friday or Saturday, I'll be re-uploading a Bautista character with S power. I'll try to make him start out with something better than an F in power, and I'll be using Shuuto's technique as well.

Can someone with the game do us a favor? On the ability purchase screen, can you take a picture of what number 12 looks like (it should be poker face) and number 18 (it's apparently good full count pitcher so something like that)

Also, 18 is good release. So 17 should be good full count pitcher, I think
