So for the Japanese versions how do you clear it? Is there scouts eval? Or does I just depend if your player is good enough to be drafted in the NPB?

Good enough basically, but there is a scout and he needs to think you are good enough.

So, bringing this topic back...

My guy in my thoughts 3CBDDDC was pretty good. Apparently the scout didn't think so. My question: How do you get scout eval? My guy wasn't a starter til the 3rd go-around of games. Was that a problem? Anyway, this is for '12.

Yes it probably is. You need to practice with your coach as much as possible until you're a starter, then just work on whatever you want to. It doesn't matter where you are in the lineup, just make sure you're starting, then do good as much as possible to get scout's eval. RBI's really help, as well as making sure you at least get a hit.

Alright, I didn't know that 0-for's gave you negative scout eval

Practice when the scout is there. He has to ask you which team you want to be on (there will be 13 options, the first of which is along the lines of "I don't care what team I'm on as long as I'm drafted!") before you can be sure you'll make it to the NPB.

He has to be looking up in the eval menu, I think, for you to even have a chance at getting said event.

I didn't even get the team choosing menu...

I don't even have to practice with him to do it, just practice, and do good in the games. Also, the option with the number 12 in it means a random team in '11. The first option in '11 is the Central League, and then it's six teams, followed by te Pacific League, and it's six teams, and then a random team.

In '12 the Hawks are first and the Baystars are last. That's all I know.

That would mean the Pacific League teams are first, and the Central League teams second. The Nippon Ham Fighters would be fourth, the Dragons seventh, and the Carp eleventh.

If someone could put up a screenshot of the team selection we could probably get it translated.

I never thought of it like that. I just thought it was 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. overall but round makes more sense.

You pass success mode by going to the top of a mountain, drinking the spirit of a mountain goat and marshawn lynch, and go beast mode in every freaking game you play... Well the second part applies more, just do that.
