I don't quite get the "business trip" part, was that just to give you some time to write some story updates and get the players made?

That was me giving myself time for the game to actually come to my house. I had it ordered but it had not got to my house yet.

 10/10 incredible setup

this might be the longest log in forum history in terms of timespan. gonna do some research to find out

EDIT: ok here are the results:

in terms of page length this log is dwarfed by several logs including ChiCubs' Royals log, ERISA's Country log, and the all-time leader, jacobye's Pirates log at a whopping 64 pages! (after further review it's actually the Knights log at 73 pages)

in terms of timespan there are really only 6 competitors:

Bears (Zero): started 10/23/12, still going on 4/24/16 (exactly 3.5 years but still going strong)
Gunmen (d-tigers): started 8/14/12, last post 11/25/15 (3 years, 3 months. did not officially end)
Eagles (philliesfan): started 10/11/12, last post 8/3/15 (2 years, 10 months. appeared to end in Jan. 2015 but a random update came 7 months afterward)
Stranglers (Paul): started 7/15/11, last post 8/21/15 (4 years, 1 month. did not officially end and the last update said "in the next update..." so where you at Paul)
Slayers (PPJ): started 9/3/11, last post 8/31/15 (almost exactly 4 years. I think this ended with the start of another log [blue jays???] perhaps?)
Knights (Tweav): started 8/23/11, ended 2/12/14 (2 sequels with last post on 3/10/16) (original log 3.5 years, but as a series has lasted over 5.5 years)

first of all this is ridiculous that we've had this many logs last this long

second of all, Zero, it appears you have a bit of work to do. depending on whether or not we count sequels as part of the original log, we're talking somewhere between 7 months and 2 years worth of work. but nonetheless congrats on a unique spot in the MLBPPWorld record books*

*assuming the books count top 4 for everything since I'm 4th in posts and I wanna be in the record book

Hokkaido -- It was a wild night from the Sapporo Dome in last night's game. The Sapporo Bears debuted their new away "color rush" uniform with Wilson Redd selected as the starter to debut the uni. Redd didn't start off so hot giving up a couple hits and a two-run single by Mamoru Suechii but grooved a bit in the 2nd inning. The Bears scored 1 in the second to cut the lead on an RBI single by the rookie outfielder, Yamato. The Fighters fought back, scoring another run in the 3rd to make it 3-1. However, the Bears blew up with a singles rally in the 4th, batting around, and having 6 runners cross the plate to make it 7-3. The Fighters picked up another run in the 4th however, trimming the lead to 7-4. The Bears tacked on runs in the 5th, 6th, and 7th to make it 10-4. Titus Whitberg came in relieving Kaneto of his excellent work out of the bullpen, in the 8th inning. Whitberg was on a 17-inning scoreless inning streak but gave up 3 runs on 5 hits and the lead was trimmed to 10-7, and Sari Harnish would come on for the 4-out save. However, the Bears picked up another 3 runs in the 9th off a few singles and an extra base hit by Ichiro Einishi. Harnish shut the door in the 9th, and the Bears hung on to beat the last place Fighters.

Sapporo -- Sora shines in shutout! We finally saw what we saw from Sora Maeda back in his rookie year tonight. He was absolutely on fire tonight and dealt like the pitcher he was two years ago. He gave up a hit in the first, and a hit in the 5th, and then another one in the 8th. In the 9th, he got in a jam, loading the bases with one out on 3 hits but got a double play to end the game and preserve his shutout. The Bears didn't hit great, but they were facing the Buffaloes ace, Kaneko. Michizono hit an RBI single in the 2nd to bring in the first run, and Koyano Shin padded the lead in the 8th with a solo bomb.

Sapporo -- The Bears began August with a bang. They banged tonight, showing off their home color rush jerseys for the first time, all white jerseys, and they did them justice. Maeda retired the side in the first, and the Bears put up 3 runs against Lions ace, Wakui, on a 2-R bomb by Shin, and a single by Dan. The Lions answered in the second, as Nakajima blasted a two-run shot, and Kurihara smashed a solo bomb. The Bears scored again in the 2nd, and then put up 5 in the 4th, and Maeda kicked it into gear. Maeda shut the Lions down for 6 more innings, going 8 total allowing 3 runs.

Tohoku -- It was an very well played game on both sides tonight. The Bears started strong with a few hits in the first, including a double by Koyano Shin and an RBI single by Ryosei Dan. They rolled into the second with this momentum, and scored again on an RBI single by rookie outfielder, Yamato. In the fourth, they added another two runs, on a two run single by rookie, Mark Wiseman, making it 4-0. However, this was it for Sapporo's offense as the Rakuten bullpen was lights out.

Korean free agent signing, Shing-Chang U pitched quite the gem tonight. He was lights out through 7, but struggled in the eighth giving up 4 hits, and 2 runs on a two run single by Makida with two outs. Sari Harnish came in to strike out Nishimura and send it to the ninth. In the ninth, Harnish was electric as usual, striking out 2, but giving up a single to Hirijisawa. The Bears held on for the 4-2 victory, as Harnish got his 31st save of the year.
