Can anyone give me some information on Matsuman University and Saikyo University?

Saikyo isn't worth it. Mantsuman is the best one to go to, you can combine players to level them up and stuff, it's pretty cool.

Thanks! Also, do you know why there's that guy who dresses up like a power ranger at Matsuman?

Completely disagree when it comes to Saikyo. They have books you can purchase to gain special skills for your player.

As for the power ranger... It sounds like you're referring to Aoi, Rokkudoh and another female I can't recall right now. Aoi is Makkyo's closer, with a custom pitch.

It's a level 6 sinker called the Marine Ball. I have a success played that obtained that pitch in the board game.

At least to me it's the lesser of the three - I don't understand Japanese and thus have no idea what the menus are saying. I've figured out the other two modes but not Saikyo yet.

And there are several odd characters in the Mantsuman one - Aoi, the cheerleader, and all the other guys that have that little storyline - taking the player into the basement or whatever, fighting, and disappearing leaving you with a normal coach.

I think it's probably easier to get a better player with Saikyo, considering they're pretty much devoted to baseball. But it's harder to become a starter. Seriously, I had a guy that had all B's and he was still batting 7th!

As for the Matsuman coach leaving, I noticed that when I played through it yesterday. Does anyone know why he has a stick when he's at practice?

That's it, thanks Zero.

And if that's how you enjoy playing the game, then I'd say keep on going with it. I typically used Saikyo if I was looking to make a strong player with certain skills. If I got lucky and the skills popped up for purchase, I didn't have to use points to get it. So I guess it's more I used them when I had a certain player build in mind.

For me, I personally like Mantsuman best because the storyline is quite funny with all the coaching staff being weirdos and all. I really like the guy who wears a baseball mask on his face, he's really hilarious.

Saikyo is also really easy to make great players because I think the practices wield more stats. I made Sosa Kenobi at Saikyo.

I do not like Pawafuru at all though because of the way you have to pay money pretty much every week. That's annoying and it makes it harder to buy things when you need them.

I hardly ever have to work to get money at Pawafuru. I randomly get like 4000 Yen every other week.

Sorry for DP

YES!!!!!! I got a successful Dr.Goodjob (or Dr.A-Okay) in the board game! With his help, I actually made a goos pitcher in the board game. All my others have been crap.

My experience with pitchers is that unless you're looking to go in a very specific direction (superior control, fireballer, ect...), it's best to just keep them balanced. Speed in the 140s, B control, B stamina, 2 breaking pitches of at least level 3 or so... They might not be a world beater, but they should be quality.
