Post subject:  PAR Codes

A while back I found some PAR codes for MLB PP on a Japanese site. Mainly stuff for Success Mode.

I understand posting them could take away the fun of sharing passwords or playing success mode, but I think the discovery of multiple Goodjob operations has, for the most part, made player creation easy enough already that this couldn't really hurt. Maybe I should at least wait till 2008 comes out? I'd like to hear opinions before posting them.

I haven't tested them yet and may never will; I have a modchip on my PS2 with PAR functionality but my system has trouble booting discs from the chip's OS.

At this point I don't really care, but I could see where some might not want them. With '08 right around the corner I don't see the harm. I was going to make one last player before '08 comes out but I'm not going to waste my time unless I find out the PWs will carry over.

Yeah I think Dr. Goodjob has almost ruined it for me. Making it too easy to max out. (Even though it is still hard to get)

I might wait till 08' to make another character as well unless they're compatible.

As for the par codes, go ahead. I'm curious.

What's a PAR Code?

Pro Action Replay I believe, a type of cheat device for the PS2.

I could care less as well, I have an exploited PS2 that can use PAR as well, but I never really use it as I usually don't have much fun in a game after I cheat. Those that want to cheat will cheat, I think we all know that.

No wonder you always create godly characters

What EXACTLY does a par code do for you. Can you just enter passwords and create players without doing success mode or what?

Yes I will be upset if all this time I've been spending learning the game is pointless because you can cheat. (Even though I cheat, I work hard at it!)

If it ever comes to the point where everyone is churning out all A players left and right because of some par codes, this game will lose all of its appeal to me.

Do they have the same type of thing for the Wii?

Hey now, all my characters are 100% guaranteed to be not on the juice. Like I said, I don't care if the Action Replay codes are posted because I don't cheat. And I agree with others, if the PAR codes let people churn out maxed out characters that would be pretty lame.

Well if you say you don't cheat, let me express my respect to you because as hard as I try I cannot make an all A character.

But still, any character with all A's is on the juice (even if he's not a Genius).

All A's can be done without cheating, and also without Dr. GJ.

However, Dr. GJ is needed for truly maxed-out players (stats and all abilities). No "cheating" necessary. (As if utilizing GJ isn't cheating enough :D )

So...are there PAR codes for this game available? I've been all over and haven't found any. And what is all this about passwords and transferring players? How do you enter a password? (I'm really off the ball here) Does the PS2 2007 version have this?

Who is Dr Goodjob? What does he do?

I know I have a lot of dumb questions, but I've been playing this for months (i'm on my 3rd season) and I never found any of it. I made a character in success mode, but he was signed with basically all F's for stats.

If anyone can fill me in on any of this, they would be my hero!
