I'd like ROTO (Yes I said H2H earlier deal with it) and daily lineups

Well, with dud switching sides, I think I will too. So, I might as well make a new ROTO league. Send me your email addresses and we'll get this new league started up (on ESPN).

Those who have sent me their email addresses don't need to send me them again.

Is it OK if I make the league? Or do you want to do it, LGM? I have some experience commishing leagues.

Is ESPN a definite? I prefer yahoo but that's just where my other leagues are.

You can go ahead. I made one, but it was just to generate interest. And I'd much rather do it on ESPN.

Edit: I've deleted our old one. Dish will make a new one for us

Thanks! How many teams will we have? 10? More?

Also, are we doing any other Roto categories outside of the standard ones?

I set it up at 10. I don't think we'll get more than that. But it still means we need 1 more player to fill the league.

I used the roto settings we had from last years' MLBPP league.

OK, because I was thinking of adding 1 category each per side, maybe OBP for batters, and either K/BB or Holds for pitchers. Thoughts?

I think I'll stay out of this one.

My take on the 5x5 format,
based on what ESPN offers:

ERA, WHIP, Innings Pitched, K/9, HR allowed

OBP, SLG, Runs Created, HR, Net Steals
(Really wish they had more hitting categories. I threw HR in there just because.)

I think these categories are just about the best measure of how good a player is, based on what ESPN offers at least.

Are we really considering Wins, Saves, and Holds to have any importance?
Ditto on Runs scored and RBI, those things are teammate/situation dependent.

I know that Innings Pitched might sound like a dumb stat for fantasy. My thinking is this: the job of a pitcher is to get outs. One IP represents three outs. Therefore, the more innings pitched, the more that pitcher was doing the main job that he is employed to do: getting outs.

We are still looking for one more owner to join up for this season. If you're interested, drop us a line in the thread.

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to baseball but when I do fantasy baseball it forces me to follow the MLB more which isn't a bad thing.

I'd be sort of interested, depending on if I could make the draft or not.

Go ahead and send me a PM with your e-mail, and I'll send you the invite.

We're thinking of having the draft near the end of Spring, maybe around the weekend of March 26th.
