If he does manage to hit 3000 (he would need probably 150 a year for 10 more years), he would probably either break the mold of "3000 is a lock" and fall off the ballot after just a few tries, or he'd manage to stay on for 15 years and just sneak in at the end.

Markakis did have above-average pop earlier in his career.

If he can stay consistent enough to get 3,000 hits while averaging around 15 homers a year, he should definitely get HOF consideration.

no, his career is hitting the shitter and he's not getting close to 3000, he might average 15 homers a year, but anything more is a stretch.
