ALONG THE WAY, STARLIN CASTRO BRAVELY SACRIFICES HIMSELF TO SECURE THE GOLDEN GLOVE OF POWER FOR CHARLES DARWIN BARNEY THE DINOSAUR, UNLOCKING THE GATE TO THE LEGENDARY GLADIATOR TOURNAMENT KNOWN ONLY AS: THE PLAYOFFS!!! AFTER OUR HEROES HAVE A FIERCE BATTLE WITH TIGER-MOUNTED COWBOYS IN RED SOCKS, A WILD GORDON FREEMAN WALKS IN, SAYS NOTHING, AND LEAVES UNNOTICED. Chicago Cubs 60-102, 5th in NL Central Despite a horrid season record, the Cubs see steady improvements from the likes of Samardzija, Castro ERRORS!, Rizzo, and Barney. A few prospects get big league exposure near the end of the year, and with luck, Barney earns another Gold Glove. Still not looking too bright for next year, but a step forward in rebuilding nonetheless. |
