Chicago Cubs
90-72, 1st in NL Central
IN AN ASTOUNDING COMEBACK THE LONG-FORLORN CHICAGO CUBS CLIMB THEIR WAY THROUGH THEIR FORMIDABLE DIVISION, BATTLING REDS, CARDINALS, PIRATES, NINJAS, AND A BUNCH OF WEIRD DRUNK GUYS TO SAVE THE WORLD FROM THE MUTANT PENGUIN APOCALYPSE. ALONG THE WAY, STARLIN CASTRO BRAVELY SACRIFICES HIMSELF TO SECURE THE GOLDEN GLOVE OF POWER FOR CHARLES DARWIN BARNEY THE DINOSAUR, UNLOCKING THE GATE TO THE LEGENDARY GLADIATOR TOURNAMENT KNOWN ONLY AS: THE PLAYOFFS!!! AFTER OUR HEROES HAVE A FIERCE BATTLE WITH TIGER-MOUNTED COWBOYS IN RED SOCKS, A WILD GORDON FREEMAN WALKS IN, SAYS NOTHING, AND LEAVES UNNOTICED. FINALLY, WITH THE HEROICS OF JEFF SAMALLAMADARZIJABA, THE AUTHOR RUNS OUT OF RIDICULOUS THINGS TO SAY AND ENDS THIS STUPID STORY! AND THEN THEY ALL WENT OUT FOR TACOS. THE END.

Well, that was fun.

Chicago Cubs
60-102, 5th in NL Central
Despite a horrid season record, the Cubs see steady improvements from the likes of Samardzija, Castro ERRORS!, Rizzo, and Barney. A few prospects get big league exposure near the end of the year, and with luck, Barney earns another Gold Glove. Still not looking too bright for next year, but a step forward in rebuilding nonetheless.

The Brewers and fans in Milwaukee, I would assume.

Well, that's Wisconsin for you. You learn to live with it.
