8) Yeah I was pleased to get James 100 yards with 2 starting o-linemen out

I don't really know why our rush defense is so good but it is so I'll take it. :) The rookie R.J. Curry didn't have a single tackle that game, which I was kinda disappointed in, but whatev, we won by 18 lol.

EDIT: I now noticed I had Seattle's kicker, Josh Brown, as 3/3 on field goals, but he was really 2/2. My mistake.

swag

it's because of my other clients, the punter and third QB. they're truly the anchors of this defense

He knows how to beat the Seahawks I guess lol

@AgentP: Scott Player is actually a really good punter, 97 overall. And funny story, I actually released your guy(the 3rd string QB) I can't remember his name its John N_______ or something but yeah he wanted $2 million a year. So then during training camp, I still only have 2 QB's so I went and resigned him for like $1.2 million. #GMsuccess

Yeah, he has the 3 things I look for in a punter.

1.) a high overall
2.) a cool name
3.) a 1 bar facemask

ImageArizona Cardinals(2-1) @ ImageCarolina Panthers(2-2)

Oct. 7- It was a sunny day in Charlotte, NC, as the Cardinals were on the road looking to improve to 3-1 against the Panthers. After a disastrous beginning to the 1st half, the Cardinals were able to pull closer at the end of the half. The 2nd half wasn't great either, but a 4th quarter comeback was enough to come away with the W.

After a slow start to the 1st quarter, the Panthers scored first on a 2 yard touchdown pass from Jake Delhomme to TE George Wrightster. After getting the ball back following the kickoff, Edgerrin James fumbled for the Cardinals, turning it over to Carolina on Arizona's 38 yard line. On the third play after reclaiming possession, Carolina scored again on a 23 yard pass to Keary Colbert. After the 1st quarter, Arizona was down by 14 and had no offense going for them.

After a Matt Leinart interception, the defense was able to hold, and Leinart was able to make up for it by leading a 78 yard scoring drive. Leonard Pope was wide open in the end zone with the Cardinals at the 1 yard line, which put them on the scoreboard, 7-14. Despite holding the lead, the Panthers were feeling greedy and were trying to score after getting the ball back with :41 seconds left and 3 timeouts. However, Karlos Dansby picked one off at the Carolina 31, which shortly after set up a Neil Rackers 18 yard field goal before halftime, as Arizona was unable to tie the game.

Coming out of halftime with momentum, the Cardinals were also getting the ball back. Ken Lucas, the Carolina defensive back, made a great play on a 3rd down pass, leaping for the interception and returning it 30 yards to the house. Down by two scores again, things weren't looking as good for Arizona. That all changed on the next play as Matt Leinart hit Larry Fitzgerald, who outran the defense for 85 yards, all the way for a touchdown. It was once again a close game after 2 scores coming within a minute after halftime, with Carolina leading 21-17. Carolina was looking to stretch this lead as the 3rd quarter wound down, and connected on a 48 yard field goal. However, rookie Denard Wesley was called for roughing the kicker on the play, moving the Panthers ahead 15 yards and giving them a first down. The defense held again, setting up Carolina for a 31 yarder. Wesley was once again in on the play, but this time blocked the kick! This great play would end up being the difference in the game.

The 4th quarter was a battle for field position for much of its duration. Arizona took the ball near midfield after a good punt return, setting them up in good shape to score, as they still trailed by 4. A big pass interference call on Ken Lucas, previously the hero of this tale, on 2nd down moved the Cardinals ahead from the Carolina 40 yard line to the 20. From there, a 12 yard pass to Fitz and then an 8 yard run by James were all that were needed to score. This put Arizona up 24-21 with 1:39 remaining. Once again, the defense stopped Carolina, including on a 4th and 6, giving the ball back to the offense and allowing them to run the clock out.

It was a very exciting game, and the Cardinals showed great toughness by battling back after a slew of turnovers in the first half/early second half. Hat's off to Denard Wesley as well, for making the game saving block on the Carolina field goal attempt!

In closing, we have more somber news. Anquan Boldin left the game late in the 3rd quarter, and did not return. After the game, it was released that he dislocated his elbow and will miss the next 7 weeks of action, which puts him on schedule to return Week 13, hopefully. The good news is that he will be back for the last month of games, and if all goes well, the playoffs. Due to the injury, Arizona signed former St. Louis WR Shaun McDonald(76 OVR) to a 1 year, $2 million contract.
