MLBPPWORLD FANTASY WEEK 13 RECAP

TD Gobblers (BrewersFuzz) 104
Jakku Scavengers (GoTwins24) 90.5

Summary:
The TD Gobblers shockingly snapped their 10-game losing streak with an upset win over the Jakku Scavengers. Miami's defense led the way for the TD Gobblers, humiliating Trevor Siemian en route to scoring 28 points. Cameron Brate had a bounceback outing, scoring 16 points. Dak Prescott overcame his recent demons, putting up 14 and ending the TD Gobblers' season on a positive note. It was an absolute clunker for the Jakku Scavengers, who were ultimately hurt by starting Stefon Diggs over Jermaine Kearse, who would have given the Scavengers the win. In addition, the Scavengers started Austin Ekeler over Bilal Powell, which cost them 7 points. The Scavengers will have to make better roster decisions in the postseason.

Atomic Pickles (AgentP) 74.5
You've Been Juiced! (LGM77) 120.5

Summary:
You've Been Juiced! clinched the top spot in the MLBPPWORLD fantasy league for the second consecutive season with a blowout victory over the Atomic Pickles, who cooled down after some high scoring weeks. Keenan Allen had another outstanding week, scoring 21 points, which is somehow his lowest outing since Week 10. No other starters followed Allen's lead, as Kyle Rudolph was the only position player to score double figures. The common theme for You've Been Juiced! this season has been depth, and that was apparent today. Only Joe Mixon and Matt Bryant failed to score in double figures. Josh Gordon proved to be a wise investment, scoring 10 points. However, Rob Gronkowski's suspension will play a huge role in the first leg of You've Been Juiced!'s matchup with Cool Brees. You've Been Juiced! will need to have another team effort in order to kep their momentum rolling.

Los Angeles Aodgers (KFPC) 89
Geno Smith (Queso James) 104.5

Summary:
The Los Angeles Aodgers saw their playoff hopes come to a heartbreaking end after a 104.5-89 loss to Geno Smith. This loss was the third straight for the Aodgers, who still had great outings from AJ Green, Todd Gurley, and Carson Wentz, the core of the team. However, Randall Cobb's 0 point outing and Isaiah Crowell's continued struggles ultimately sunk the Aodgers out of the postseason. The running back position hurt Geno Smith all year, but not this week. Rex Burkhead and Alex Collins combined for 44.5 points. Geno Smith could have scored even more points if they started Russell Wilson, who scored 24 points. The Chiefs' dfense also hurt Geno Smith, losing 8 points. Geno Smith ended the season on a positive note, playing spoiler to the Aodgers' season.

Cool Brees (ZeroGibson13) 93
Tom Brady's PSI-duck (Dishnet34) 88.5

Summary:
Despite not scoring 100 points for the first time since Week 9, Cool Brees clinched a playoff appearance with a 93-88.5 win. Alvin Kamara continued his unbelievable run, scoring 26.5 points. This performance was crucial for Cool Brees, as Drew Brees and Stephen Gostkowski were the only players to score in double figures. Adam Thielen cooled down after excellent production the last few weeks, scoring only 7 points. Despite not having their best outing in Week 13, Cool Brees enters the postseason as the league's hottest team. They will be a tough out, especially with a 2-leg playoff. Tyreek Hill had his best performance in weeks, scoring 33 points to put Tom Brady's PSI-duck in the game. However, no other starters stepped up and Tom Brady's PSI-duck finished 4-9 on the year.

Nick N00ns (Philliesfan134) 101.5
Detroit Phantoms (Dtigers) 96

Summary:
Nick N00ns clinched their 10th victory and a playoff spot thanks to a team effort. Only three players scored in single figures, while Jamaal Williams and Ben Roethlisberger led the way. Nick N00ns will face the Jakku Scavengers in the semifinals. Travis Kelce nearly single-handedly won the contest for the Detroit Phantoms, scoring 23 points (22.5 in the first quarter). Mark Ingram stepped up as well, recording 20 points. Ulitmately, the Steelers' defense was not able to pick up the slack, scoring only 2 point Monday night. A better outing would have altered the playoff matchups.

The 2016-2017 Champ (Prediction) 138.5
Team Griffith (Jag123jg) 94.5

Summary:
Despite not being able to repeat as champion, the 2016-2017 Champ ended the season on a high note thanks to Alex Smith, who scored a season high 37 points, as well as the Rams' defense, who scored 22 points. The only player in single digits was Jimmy Graham, who still scored 9.5 points. Despite 25.5 points from Le'Veon Bell, Team Griffith lost handedly. Corey Coleman failed to score a point, and Jordan Howard struggled against San Francisco. It was a disappointing end to a disappointing season for Team Griffith.

MLBPPWORLD FANTASY SEMIFINAL LEG 1 RECAP

Jakku Scavengers (GoTwins24) 101
Nick N00ns (Philliesfan134) 104

Summary:
The first of the two playoff games was another close matchup between the Scavengers and Nick N00ns, with Nick N00ns holding a slight 3-point advantage. Leonard Fournette and Antonio Brown once again carried the Jakku Scavengers, combining for 45.5 points, keeping the team in the game. Bilal Powell, Ryan Succop, and the Vikings' defense struggled mightily, combining for only 6 points. This minimal production kept the Scavengers from gaining a major advantage. Nick N00ns overcame the benching of 25.5 point scorer Jamaal Williams thanks to Cooper Kupp, Gio Bernard, and Melvin Gordon. Ben Roethlisberger reduced the damage from Antonio Brown, scoring 28 points. However, Nick N00ns failed to gain a major advantage due to Ted Ginn's limited production in the flex spot, as well as New England's defensive clunker Monday night. This matchup can flip either way in the second leg, as both teams look for that pivotal spark.

Cool Brees (ZeroGibson13) 107
You've Been Juiced! (LGM77) 74.5

Summary:
The meeting between the league's two hottest teams was not as close as predicted. Cool Brees once again surpassed the century mark in points thanks to Drew Brees, Kareem Hunt, Jarvis Landry, and Adam Thielen, who combined for 75.5 points, an overwhelming majority. Alvin Kamara left the game early due to a concussion, but Cool Brees has already created a comfortable lead, so they will still be in a great position if Kamara misses Week 15. You've Been Juiced! were disappointed after a great run to end the season. Josh Gordon, who is proving to be a great pickup, scored 13.5 points. Phillip Rivers led the way with 20 points. Rob Gronkowski's suspension proved very costly, as his replacement Austin Seafarian-Jenkins scored 0.5 points. The Legion of Boom did not show up against Jacksonville, losing a point. You've Been Juiced! will need nothing short of a miracle to advance to the championship. Can they pull it off?

Consolation Ladder Scores:

Detroit Phantoms (Dtigers) 79
Los Angeles Aodgers (KFPC) 113

The 2016-2017 Champ (Prediction) 107
Smokin Jay's Squad (Queso James) 101

Team Griffith (Jag123jg) 108.5
Tom Brady's PSI-duck (Dishnet34) 57.5

TD Gobblers (BrewersFuzz) 104.5
Atomic Pickles (AgentP) 91.5

Best of luck in Week 15!

MLBPPWORLD FANTASY SEMIFINAL LEG 2 RECAP

Jakku Scavengers (GoTwins24) 118.5 (219.5)
Nick N00ns (PhilliesFan134) 94.5 (198.5)

Summary:
The Jakku Scavengers advanced to their second championship game in three years thanks to a strong team effort, led by 30-point scorer Cam Newton. Minnesota's defense finally lived up to their reputation, scoring 20 points in their domination of the Bengals. Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffery still managed to have decent outings despite the loss of Carson Wentz. However, it was not all celebration for the Scavengers as Antonio Brown suffered an injury that will most likely end his regular season. This is a big blow to the Scavengers, who rode the recent domination of Antonio Brown into the postseason. It was a letdown performance for Nick N00ns, who started off strong thanks to a 25-point game from Melvin Gordon on Saturday. However, the other running backs on Nick N00ns' roster could not keep the pace, combining for only 7 points. Cooper Kupp led Nick N00ns to a leg 1 victory, but could not replicate this in the second leg. It was a disappointing end to a great season for Nick N00ns, who went on a great run to get to this point.

Cool Brees (ZeroGibson13) 111 (218)
You've Been Juiced! (LGM77) 114 (188.5)

Summary:
Cool Brees clinched a spot in the championship game with yet another 100+ point game. They were in such a great position that they survived benching Kareem Hunt, who scored 35.5 points. Alvin Kamara and Devonta Freeman covered for this by combining for 43.5 points. Adam Thielen only scored 4.5 points, but was covered for by Jarvis Landry and Brandin Cooks. Cool Brees appears to be in a fantastic position as they do not have any injuries. You've Been Juiced! had a much better outing the second time around, led by Rob Gronkowski, who scored 22 points. It is evident that Gronk's suspension hampered You've Been Juiced! in a major way. Aaron Rodgers threw 3 interceptions, but still managed to put up 21 points. Ultimately, You've Been Juiced! could not overcome their 74.5 point outing in the first leg.

Consolation Ladder Scores:
Detroit Phantoms (Dtigers) 172.5
Los Angeles Aodgers (KFPC) 250.5

The 2016-2017 Champ (Prediction) 223.5
Smokin' Jay's Squad (Queso James) 176

Team Griffith (Jag123jg) 245.5
Tom Brady's PSI-duck (Dishnet34) 140

TD Gobblers (BrewersFuzz) 163
Atomic Pickles (AgentP) 196.5
