Fan Jack Newman Takes Over Giants
Fan Jack Newman has taken over the Giants. He said that he wants to win, but does not have the money too and did a lot of trades for draft picks.

Preseason Over, New Coach James Taylor Releases Depth Chart

The Giants went 3-1 in the Preseason and here's the depth chart.

The Giants Lose in Blowout, 90-7

Josh Johnson in Blowout to Cowboys
The Giants suck. Period.

The first quarter was where the Cowboys started to pull ahead. They returned a 19 yd fumble on the second kickoff(after an Alfred Morris TD), and was ahead of the Giants the whole game.
The Giants had 6 turnovers compared to the Cowboys's 1. The Giants were simply outplayed.

Josh Johnson had 41 completions in 58 attempts. This got him to 364 yards. He had a completion rate of 70% and a touchdown. However he threw 3 interceptions. The rushing game was also silent as Paul Perkins got 42 yards in 12 carries. As for the receiving end, Evan Engram looked like Jason Witten getting 17 receptions and 146 yards. Sterling Shepard had 10 receptions and 168 yards. In PPR, these two must've been a steal.

The Giants need to work on their sacks as they gave up 4 and Johnson should really not throw 3 interceptions. It should really be interesting to watch the Giants going further.

Giants Lose in Another Blowout
Image
Josh Johnson in his record breaking game
Josh Johnson sucks. Period.

I think that everyone on the team sucks though. Even though Josh Johnson only threw 13 interceptions, he was sacked 12 times, and there was 10 forced fumbles. So is it just Josh Johnson. Probably not.

Paxton Lynch set the record for the most yards in a game 660. He also set the record for most TDs, 14 TDs in a game.

Josh Johnson set a record too. Most interceptions in a game!!! Isn't that great!!! This is the best record to have isn't it.

But the good news is that Evan Engram had 33 receptions for 294 yards. So that's a plus out of the gate.

I think I should just sim the games to make myself look better. yeah.

"The Draft is All Or Nothing" Says Giants Owner
Giants owner, Jack Newman, said that this "draft is all or nothing".

Jack Newman and investors bought the team last year. He decided to change the landscape of the team and is depending on this draft to make or break the Giants.

"If we do good in this draft, the Giants will be good for a long time," said Newman, "And our other rule this offseason has really been just putting our resources towards the draft and not really paying attention to the offseason."

Newman's Giants went 2-14. They did get many yards which will give them the second overall pick. However the team did show signs of greatness as it did have the second best wide reciever yards wise, Sterlin Shepard.

"Shepard played great last year," Newman said, "We hope that Engram can improve on his last season too."

Evan Engram had 892 yards in 100 receptions. He led tight ends in yards. Engram also set the record for the most receptions in a game last year.

"I remember that game," Newman said when asked about Engram's game, "He was hot and the Broncos couldn't defend him. But they could defend Josh Johnson."

Josh Johnson was last year's starting QB. He threw 21 interceptions, 17 in the first two games.

"I like Josh," said Newman when asked about getting a replacement in the draft, "I think we'll keep him, but on what level he plays will decide how he is."

The Giants have been connected with another QB, Aerion Stackhouse. When asked about Stackhouse, Newman said that "Yes, we are looking at him. We are looking at every option."

When we asked him on what the Giants need to improve on, Newman said that it was their defense.

"Our defense was the worst defense in the league," said Newman, "We need more than a Deion Sanders right now."

This led us to Leon Sandcastle. He's fast, and just really showed up at the combine.

"Sandcastle's pretty good," said Newman, "Sedale Power and Trayvon Bland are also very good too. Should be a hard decision for us."

When asked if Newman had made a decision on the failing Ermon Patterson, Newman said this.

"If we can pick him up in the seventh round, that'll be good. I don't think he's the greatest player in the world, but he just needs some time to develop," Newman said.

We also asked Jack Newman if we would trade up in the draft.

"Probably," Newman answered, "I don't think we'll really make an impact on the next draft. Maybe pick up a kicker or a fullback next year."

When we asked Newman on getting a new RB, he said that Perkins "was good enough". He said that they would try to be a "primarily passing team". When we asked if that if Johnson would be apart of that he said "time will tell."

We also asked Newman if he would pick up a high-end wide receiver. Newman answered with a "if we can."

When asked about top left tackle Corey Stone, Newman said this.

"He's a crybaby," Newman said, "And he needs to grow some balls. But we do need a better offensive line."

This brought us to a list he had in his pocket. It had some offensive linemen names and he said "the team doesn't have a good offensive line. Remember when Johnson threw 13 interceptions, he was sacked 10 times."

At the thought of sacks, I asked him about Grimm. Dante Grimm started the season strong, but then slowed from an injury.

"I don't think he's healthy," Newman said talking of Grimm, "He's still good, but he's almost a full step behind. Also he really doesn't fit in the 3-4."

When right end came up, Newman said that there was nothing there to talk about. When Defensive Tackle came up he talked of a mostly known tackle, Priester.

"He's fast. Really fast. Probably the best tackle coming into the draft," Newman said.

We also asked him if he would go after a linebacker and Newman said yes. He also talked of the secondary that he wanted.

When asked about getting a new kicker, he talked about Justin Tucker.

"I know I said at the beggining of the offseason I wouldn't pick anyone up," Newman said, "But we've talked to Tucker a lot over the offseason. But Aguirre is a good kicker, but I want to see if we can get a move with Tucker first."

He also said that he could even see Aguirre at punter, something that happened to Robbie Gould.

"It was embarassing seeing Gould punt," Newman remarked, "If we need to get a punter, we'll get Mendoza, but hope to get someone competent."

Ishmael Hartsfield's name also came up.

"He's underrated. But Kian Tabannah's pretty good too," Newman said.

Newman's Giants hold the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 9th, 25th, 29th, and 32nd pick of the draft. They also have their own second round pick which will the 34th overall. In the third round they hold the 66th overall pick and in the 4th round they hold the 98th, 114th, and 119th. They also hold 5th and 6th round picks. They also hold two 7th round picks.

Delray Taimani Heads Draft
With the first pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Giants picked Delray Taimani, a halfback from East Carolina. He can catch well and runs pretty fast. The second pick went to De'Anthony Baltimore, a left tackle from UCLA. With the fifth pick the Giants picked up corner Trayvon Bland. With the 9th overall pick, the Giants picked a like Deion Sanders name Leon Sandcastle from Florida State. With the 25th pick, the Giants drafted corner Sedale Power from Okalahoma State. With the 29th overall pick the Giants picked up Al Foos, a promising wide reciever from Georgetown. They next pickey up right linebacker Clifton Bolton from Arkansas.
In the second round, the Giants picked left end Dante Grimm from Colorado. With the third round pick, the Giants picked up Aerion Stackhouse which seems to be the Giants future QB from Cal-Northridge. In the fourth round, the Giants picked up WR DeVonte Stump, Left Guard Sergio Munoz, and LE Demetruce Bujari. In the fifth round, the Giants picked up Free Safety Ermon Paterson from Eastern Washington. In the sixth round, the Giants picked up Barry Becker, a fullback from Nebraska. In the last round, the Giants picked up DT Bolajii Onyegbule and Outside Linebacker Shaynon Barksdale.

The most outstanding picks from this draft are really Leon Sandcastle from Florida State. He's an 89 overall and has 99 speed. Another steal is left tackle De'Anthony Baltimore. He's an 86 overall and is pretty strong and should protect Josh Johnson or Aerion Stackhouse. Trayvon Bland is another corner back for the team and will bolster the team's secondary. Dante Grimm should be a finishing piece for their defensive linemen and it will be interesting to see what Delray Taimani does for the Giants. Clifton Bolton will bolster the team's linebackers and Sedale Power will join a very strong secondary of rookies. Aerion Stackhouse will be interesting for the team as he will battle for the position with Josh Johnson. Al Foos and DeVonte Stump will help Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram in the passing game. Demetruce Bujari will be of great potential for the Giants and will be there if left end Grimm gets injured. Barry Becker may be the team's fullback and Emerson Patterson should serve as a benchwarmer.

GIANTS SIGN JUSTIN TUCKER, CHRIS SNEE
Image

The Giants sign kicker Justin Tucker and retired Right Guard Chris Snee.
Chris Snee hasn't played since 2013, but Justin Tucker is one of the best kickers in the game of football.
