WEEK 9 McNeese State Cowboys(3-3) @ Montana State Bobcats(2-3)
1 2 3 4 F
Bobcats 0 7 14 3 24
Cowboys 0 0 0 7 7

Mcgee and Bleskin play pitch and catch with the McNeese State defense, Bobcats win 24-7. Denarius McGee came up huge for the Bobcats in his first game back from a torn pectoral muscle, throwing for a season high 218 yards and 3 TD. Senior WR Tanner Bleskin was just way too much to handle for McNeese State as the 6"4' Bleskin towered over the Cowboy's secondary and caught a career high 3 TD's.

1 2 3 4 F
Bobcats 0 7 0 0 7
49ers 0 3 14 3 20

Turnover bug hits the Bobcats hard, as the Charlotte 49ers stun Montana State, 20-7. Just a week after a dominating performance against McNeese State, The Bobcats slip up and drop a huge game to the 49ers, Head coach Rob Ash was so mad he declined to comment after the game and just stormed into the locker room to give what one could only think was a less than positive post game speech. Hopefully the Bobcats can bounce back next week as they go home to face the Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona.

WEEK 14 Montana State Bobcats(6-4) @ Towson Tigers(4-6)
1 2 3 4 OT F
Bobcats 0 7 0 3 3 13
Tigers 7 0 0 3 0 10

Bobcats withstand tough road test from Tigers, get the win in OT that they needed to clinch
the Sun Belt title and advance to 7-5. The Bobcats put together a late drive in the 4th
quarter to tie the game at 10-10 with a FG with just seconds remaining in the 4th quarter to
force OT, where a great defensive stand by Montana State pushed the Towson Tigers out of Field
Goal range and they ended up getting nothing, allowing Montana State to simply kick the game
winning field goal once they got the ball to end it. The Bobcats now head back home for their
final game of the regular season to face the North Dakota State Bison, a team that has not
lived up to the high expectations that were given to them at the start of the season. Denarius
McGee said after that the game "You know any win is a good win, but to clinch the conference
is a heck of an acomplishment and it's what we set out to do from day 1 of practice and to see
it all come together like this is really something special, now we just have to focus on
finishing strong against North Dakota State so we can get that 8th win and get into a better
bowl game."

PASSING
D.McGee- 10/18, 132 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT
B.Hodge- 0/1

RUSHING
D.McGee- 12 ATT, 39 YDS, 3.2 AVG

1 2 3 4 F
Bobcats 0 17 7 10 34

The Bobcats win big in their last regular season game, as McGee has his best game of the season by far, but comes out injuried late in the 4th quarter, his status going forward is uncertain and he could have played in his last game as a collegiate player. Coach Rob Ash declined to comment on the status of his senior QB but did say that "this was a great win for our team and i'm just going to let our kids soak this one in for awhile."

The Bobcats rallied back from an early 14 point deficit to get out of the Big Easy with their
first bowl victory with a 28-20 win in an instant classic. Junior wide recieiver Willie Pryor
was named player of the game with 2 receptions for 73 yards, 1 rushing attempt for 11 yards
and 2 total touchdowns, but the win was all thanks to the play of Edmond DeAngelis, the senior
safety had 2 interceptions, including one for a 61 yard touchdown with less than a minute left
in the game that sealed the win for the Bobcats. DeAngelis was reached after the game and had
this to say, "Man this is unbelievable, for me to end my college career with the game of my
life just means everything, and I'd just like to thank god for giving me the chance to come
out here and play the game of football and stay healthy throughout the season.
"
Head Coach Rob
Ash was also interviewed after the game and said "this couldn't have happened to a better
group of guys, we had a veteran team and for a lot of these players, it was their last game in
a Bobcat uniform and i'm just happy that we could get a win for those guys because they
deserved it."

2013 Montana State Bobcats
Coming off of a great 1st season in the BCS that included a Conference Championship, The Bobcats look to be in rebuilding mode this season with the loss of star QB Denarius McGee. The Bobcats did however manage to get 3 star recruit Harold Butler to replace McGee and he will get the starting job in the season opener. The Bobcats defense however remains stacked(by Sun Belt standards) as they return top defensive players Marlon Barr(84 OVR), Alex Singleton(79 OVR), Cole Moore(82 OVR). The Bobcats are predicted to finish in the middle of the Sun Belt this year as the experts are going back to North Dakota State to win it all even after a disappointing season for the Bison last year.

CONFERENCE Pre-Season Rankings
1.North Dakota State Bison: OFF: 72, DEF: 74, OVR: 73

i'm going to try and get this log up and running again, here is how my 2nd season at Montana State has went so far.

WEEK 2 Navy Midshipmen @ Montana State Bobcats(0-0)
1 2 3 4 F
Bobcats 0 7 0 0 7
Midshipmen 0 0 0 14 14

Navy scores 14 in 4th quarter, Butler throws 2 picks in debut as the Bobcats lose 14-7. Harold
Butler became the first freshman QB to start for the Bobcats since joining the BCS last
season, and after his performance in tonight's game, he might be the last, throwing for just
75 yards and throwing 2 interceptions(including one late in the 4th quarter to seal the win
for Navy).

PASSING
H.Butler- 7/16, 75 YDS, 2 INT

RUSHING
H.Butler- 6 ATT, -4 YDS, -0.6 AVG, 1 TD
J.Fontaine- 5 ATT, 16 YDS, 3.2 AVG

RECEIVING
J.Fontaine- 3 REC, 15 YDS, 5.0 AVG
L.Perkins- 2 REC, 43 YDS, 21.5 AVG
V.Doty- 1 REC, 14 YDS
W.Pryor- 1 REC, 3 YDS

DEFENSIVE
B.Marshall- 7 TACK, 2 TFL
C.Moore- 6 TACK, 1 TFL, 1.0 SACK, 1 FR
A.Singleton- 6 TACK, 2 TFL
T.Barron- 5 TACK, 1 TFL, 1 FF

WEEK 4 Montana State Bobcats(0-1) @ #7 Utah Utes(2-0)
1 2 3 4 F
Bobcats 0 3 7 7 17
Utes 0 0 0 0 0

Bobcats go into Utah and get possibly the biggest win in program history. Coming off of a loss
to an average at best Navy team, everyone thought Montana State was headed into a blow out
loss against the top ten Utes of Utah, but the exact opposite ended up happening as the
Bobcats dominated the Utes in every facet of the game. A big part of this win has to be
credited to the excellent play of junior safety Lynn Boggs as he picked off not 1, not 2, but
3 passes from the Utah QB, which sets a new school record for most interceptions in a single
game, after the game Boggs was interviewed and said "We came in here and we just wanted to
prove to everyone that we need to be taken seriously, we didn't want anyone to define us as a
team after that Navy game, we came in hungry and it showed." The Bobcats now look forward to
playing Illinois next game back in Montana as they look to improve their record to 2-1 on the
year.

WEEK 6 Montana State(2-1) @ Clemson Tigers(2-1)
1 2 3 4 F
Bobcats 14 7 0 7 28
Tigers 0 7 7 7 21

An all around great game, and an amazing defensive play seals the victory for the Bobcats as
they pull their 3rd huge upset in a row. Harold Butler had an amazing game, going 13/24 for
142 yard and a touchdown, and also rushing for 59 yards and a score. It's hard for any
quarterback to walk into Death Valley and keep his composure, not to mention a true freshman,
but Butler didn't seem to be bothered at all by the crowd. Butler was awarded player of the
game honors and spoke after the game, saying "This is easily the biggest win of my career,
coming into a place like Death Valley and grabbing a win over Clemson is more than i ever
thought this team could accomplish, the sky is truly the limit for this team and I can't wait
for conference play to start, Go Bobcats!". Butler won't have to wait long as Montana State
has their first conference game of the season in two weeks(following a bye week) against the
Samford Bulldogs.

WEEK 8 Samford Bulldogs(1-4) @ Montana State Bobcats(3-1)
1 2 3 4 F
Bobcats 0 7 3 0 10
Bulldogs 0 7 0 7 14

The Monatana State Bobcats had 2 weeks to prepare for the Samford Bulldogs, and after beating 3 schools from the 6 major conferences, everyone thought the Bobcats were going to run all over the Bulldogs. That didn't exactly happen on saturday night as the Bulldogs used a late 4th quarter TD drive to pull off the major upset as the defending Sun Belt Conference champs go down 14-10. Head Coach Rob Ash said after the game "I think we overlooked them, we thought this being a home game, and after a bye week we had this game in the bag, we just have to come back and regroup and hope that we still have a shot to win another conference championship at the end of the season." This loss is especially hard to swallow for the school as they had 5 big time recruiting prospects in the seats to watch the game. Montana State now drops to 3-2 on the season and 0-1 in the Sun Belt.

RECRUITING NEWS: The Bobcats signed 3 recruits this week, all from the state of Montana, which was one of the goals that Rob Ash wanted to accomplish when he took this job, in his weekly radio show, he said "When I came to Montana State there wasn't a single kid from Montana on the roster, which was really troubling for me, I mean i knew there had to be some talent out there in the state, and I knew some kids had to wanna stay and home and play college football, so getting some of these Montana kids to stay at home is going to be huge for this program in the long run and should really give our fans something to cheer for."

HB-Shan Wolstonecroft: 79 OVR(***) Bozeman, MT
MLB-Brett Bogie: 78 OVR(***) Sidney, MT
