January 16th, 2019.

I never knew how much I would hate that kid with the high school named after him until I finally met him. It's a cold winter night, I'm shivering as I write this.

But it must be done.

Zac Davis

I was walking up to the head coach of Texas Tech to grab my number. Their coach was Dan Gould.

"Hello son. Who might you be?"

"I'm Zac Davis, the freshy QB you recruited."

"Oh yes. What number would you like?"

"I'll take number 15."

"Sorry Zac, 15 is already taken by Drew Butler, the redshirt sophomore. You can have 17."

"Alright, I guess I'll take 17. But when I'm the starter next year, I'll take 15 off his hands."

"Okay, well, here is your position battle information."

"No can do young'un. Just because your Johnny Football's son doesn't mean you can steal Trevor Collins' number."

"What? Who the hell is he!?" I asked, still a little hung over from the night before.

"He's our back-up outside linebacker."

"Screw him, give me number 2 like my papa."
