GM and owner Braun of the Oakland Raiders is making a waves by firing head coach Lane Kiffin and Offensive Coordinator Greg Knapp. As well, Braun has fired their training staff Wellness Web hiring Wellness Studios in their place. Art Shell has been announced as Knapp's replacement as O-Coordinator, and Dennis Green will take the Head Coaching role. Mike Singletary was later signed to man the Defensive coordinator position. Brian Schneider will remain as the Special teams coach. All this coming after a playoff appearance many consider a fluke. when asked about the moves Braun said "It was my plan all along to get rid of these guys. they are poor coaches and you cant build a championship team with bad coaching."

Trent Dilfer announced his retirement today. the Former Oakland QB backed up Andrew Walker for half a season after Jamarcus Russell was traded. Dilfer played 15 seasons and hung up his cleats at 37.

Oakland revealed today the release of kicker Sebastian Janikowski. This comes as no surprise as Braun had been insinuating such action all year. Janikowski missed three of his 21 extra point attempts last season.
