As a player, Chris Smoove was an NBA star. Smoove played a total of five seasons, bouncing around from the Houston Rockets to the New Orleans Hornets, to eventually the New York Knicks. Despite not winning an NBA title, Smoove led the United States to a gold medal in the 2012 Olympics alongside Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, and Carmelo Anthony. Now, Smoove has turned to a front office role as he has been hired as the new General Manager of the promising Minnesota Timberwolves, with the #1 pick Karl Anthony Towns. Smoove hopes that the Timberwolves improve throughout the season, and Karl Anthony Towns shows promise as the starting Power Forward. Head Coach Sam Mitchell is intending to run an offense that can utilize youth players Andrew Wiggins and KAT. Ricky Rubio and Karl Anthony Towns may be able to form a nasty pick and roll duo, as shown in a scrimmage where Rubio was able to drive to the lane for several easy layups thanks to some excellent screens by KAT. The Timberwolves are set to begin a preseason tournament between NBA and EuroLeague teams. They will take on Real Madrid, Barcelona, and the Golden State Warriors in the group stage of the tournament. This will give them a chance to see how their offensive and defensive systems work, especially against the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

I was expecting Smoove in more of a player role, or player-coach at least. I put him on the Sonics (aka rebuilding, relocated Kings).

but I am willing to see where this goes
