Raptors announce new GM Brad "The Beast" Fraser

Toronto -- Jeff Weltman has recently confirmed that Bradley "The Beast" Fraser has been chosen to be the Raptors new GM for the 2013-2014 NBA season. He was one of the numerous candidates for the position, but was the better choice apparently. Here's a piece of his first press conference.

"I'm ready to bring basketball back to Canada. I grew up in WISCONSIN, and while going to Seneca High, I loved my Vancouver Grizzlies, my Toronto Raptors. Canada was my favourite country in the whole world! I'm just so glad I have an opportunity to do something like this. We don't have a top-notch team, but nothing's going to stop me from taking us to that next level. DeMar Derozan is only getting better, we have a potential all-star in Rudy Gay. There are some very solid pieces on this team, and I'm going to help put it all together.

(pretend I made all the same moves as Masai Ujiri.)

New Raptors GM makes first deal of the fall.

Toronto -- Raptors GM, Bradley Fraser has spun the first deal of Autumn, sending free agent signee D.J. Augustin to the rebuilding Boston Celtics for the shooting guard MarShon Brooks.

"He brings a solid scoring threat inside and out of the three point line."

MarShon Brooks was previously acquired by the Celtics in a move which sent future hall-of-famers, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, among others to the Nets. The Raptors and the Celtics both face off on the eve of Halloween in each other's first game of the '13-'14 NBA season.

First off, that sentence doesn't make sense. Second, SENECA IS IN WISCONSIN. :(

I assume this is what he is trying to say.

Raptors win first game of the season, Gay a big factor.
October 30th, 2013
Boston Celtics (0-0) @ Toronto Raptors (0-0)

Image

Raptors: 99 (30-25-24-20)
Celtics: 86 (24-22-26-14) (quarters)

Rudy Gay (19 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists)
Jeff Green (14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists)

Toronto -- The Toronto Raptors have won their first game of the regular season, with a score of 99-86 against the Boston Celtics. It was a rather sloppy game for both sides, combining for 32 turnovers and abysmal field goal percentages. Otherwise, Toronto played a solid game, dominating the glass with fourteen more rebounds than the Celtics. The Boston Celtics are coming off of a trade with the Nets to start their rebuilding period sending stars Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett away in the deal. The Raptors are starting their season anew as well. Bradley Fraser has come in as their new general manager, signing numerous role players and executing a deal with the Celtics to get MarShon Brooks, they appear to be on the right track as they hope the make the playoffs for the first time since the 2006-2007 NBA season, a time when Andrea Bargnani played solid and Chris Bosh was still a star.
