Ugh, I have to make the thread again.

Hey everyone, I'll be making a dynasty of sorts with the Montreal Expos in 1994, the season that wasn't. I'll be playing with these settings which you can find below this paragraph. I'm using Baseball Mogul 2006, which you may or may not know about, you probably do, anyways it's a baseball simulation game which I've always liked, I lost my copy of '12 so I'll be using this free version. Hope you like it!

i used to play this game all the time, i would always trade for Zito, and Teixeira because their the best in the game. lol one time it was the year 2075 or something and i had this one player who hit over 1000 career homeruns, and his at the age 108, but obviously retired at around the age of 45

Indeed they are overall and potential. And no problem, this game is great and deserves more widespread attention, much like powerpros.

April 1st to April 3rd; Padres series recap.

Game 1:

Expos: 0-0-1-0-0-0-0-0-0
Padres: 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0

Pedro Martinez threw a complete game shutout against the San Diego Padres on opening day, giving up only 3 hits and walking one over nine. The Padres also pitched fairly well, only giving up 5 hits but a solo blast against Moises Alou was the deciding blow as they lose their first game of the year.

Game 2:

Expos: 0-1-0-0-0-0-0-0-0
Padres: 0-0-1-0-0-2-0-0-0

Another low scoring affair in the second game of this opening season series but the results were different as the Padres came out on top as Phil Plantier hit a two run blast to give the Padres the edge and the game.

Game 3:

Expos: 2-0-0-1-0-2-2-0-0
Padres: 0-0-1-0-3-1-0-1-0

The bats finally came alive in the last game of the series as both teams combined for 22 hits and scored 13 runs. The Expos were led by Darinn Fletcher, who hit a 2 run homerun and drove in another with a RBI double in the 7th.

Record: 2-1
2nd in National League East.
Won series 2-1.

Like this format? I can do it in box score form as well to show more stats if you'd like.

April 6th, 1994.

April 4th to April 6th, Astros series recap.

Game 1:

Expos: 2-2-0-0-0-0-0-0-0
Astros: 1-0-0-2-0-0-2-1-0

The Expos were led by Will Cordero who drove in 3 runs and hit two homers but that wasn't enough as the bullpen gave up 3 runs in the 7th and 8th innings to pave the way for an Astros victory.

Game 2:

Expos: 1-0-0-2-2-0-0-0-0
Astros: 0-2-2-1-0-0-1-1-0

The Astros took game two in this series by scoring early and fast. Craig Biggio and Luis Gonzalez combined for 4 RBI to give the Astros the series win as they look for the sweep tomorrow.

Game 3:

Expos: 2-0-0-1-0-2-3-0-0
Astros: 0-0-0-1-2-0-1-0-0

The Montreal Expos avoided the sweep by winning the last game against the Houston squad 8-4. Pedro Martinez made his second start of the season and pitched decently but his teams offense drove him to his second win of the season, he also fanned 9 in this outing.

April 9th, 1994.

Recap of April 7th to April 9th.

Game 1:

Expos: 2-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0
Cardinals: 0-0-0-1-0-0-0-0-0

The Expos started hard and fast, scoring their only 2 runs of the game in the first inning via a Larry Walker homerun and Will Cordero driving in Darrin Fletcher. It seems that the bottom of the lineup is performing even better than the top of the lineup. Will Cordero and Darrin Fletcher are batting .368 and .351, while only 1 of the top 4 guys is batting above .300. Ken Hill pitched 8 innings giving up only 1 run and then giving the save to Mel Rojas instead of John Wetteland for some reason.

Game 2:

Expos: 0-0-0-0-1-0-2-4-3
Cardinals: 0-0-2-0-0-0-0-0-0

The Expos weren't off to a quick start like in the previous game but scored a massive amount of runs in the last few innings, all started by a Darrin Fletcher grandslam in the 8th. Starter Kirk Rueter got a no-decision as he left the game trailing 1 run in the 6th but his team still won. The Expos look for the sweep tomorrow.

Game 3:

Expos: 0-0-2-0-1-1-0-0-0
Cardinals: 1-2-0-0-1-0-1-0-0

The Expos lost the last game of the series in a close matchup. Darrin Fletcher hit his 2nd homerun of the series with a two run blast in the third inning. Henry Butch lost his control at the beginning of the game, throwing 1 wild pitch and walking one while giving up 3 runs in the first two enroute to the Expos losing their 1st game since winning 3 consecutive.

April 13th, 1994.

Montreal agrees to contract extension with slugger Larry Walker. 8,850,000 7 years

The Expos have agreed to a contract extension with Canadian Larry Walker. Walker has posted a .268 avg with only 2 homeruns, but hopes to and probably will get out of this early season slump.

April 13th, 1994.

Recap of April 10th to April 12th.

Game 1:

Expos: 0-1-0-1-0-0-1-1-0
Pirates: 0-0-0-1-0-1-0-0-0

The Expos have won their home opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 4 to 2. Gil Heredia pitched 6 innings giving up two runs but got the no-decision as the Expos scored the winning run in the 7th. Darrin Fletcher keeps delivering as he hit a 2 RBI double in the 5th to grasp onto the lead for the Expos.

Game 2:

Expos: 0-1-0-0-0-0-0-0-0
Pirates: 0-0-3-0-4-3-4-2-0

The Expos weren't like they were the day prior as the Pirates pounded upon them scoring 16 runs to their 1. Normally solid Pedro Martinez couldn't get out of the 5th inning as he gave up 7 runs over that period of time, getting the loss for the Expos. Meanwhile for the Pirates, Steve Cooke pitched 8 innings only giving up the lone run in the second before handing the ball to Alejandro Pena who "closed" the game out for them.

Game 3:

Expos: 0-0-2-1-0-0-0-0-0
Pirates: 0-0-1-2-1-0-0-0-0

The Expos lost their first series at home against the Pirates in a close game, after the 4th, Montreal just couldn't score only getting 2 more hits in the process, giving Pittsburgh their 7th win of the season in only 9 games. The Expos are currently 6-6 and are tied for 2nd in the NL East with the Mets and Phillies while Atlanta is first and Florida dwells in the basement.

Expos complete trade with Oakland.

The Montreal Expos have traded away relief pitchers Dan Smith 63/69 and Ugueth Urbina 75/87 for prospect 1B/LF Jason Giambi 72/89. Jason has plenty of the power on the bat and should be ready to crack the opening day lineup as a starter or on the bench in 1995. The Athletics also included $1,000,000 to send to Expos.

Expos still dealing, orchestrate trade with Reds.

The Montreal Expos have traded minor league pitchers David Moraga 63/70 and Troy Mattes 53/60 for right fielder Chad Mottola 58/66. The deal was made just before their game versus the Reds, quite a coincidence. An interesting fact, Chad Mottola is very good friends with Joey Eischen, a top notch prospect in the Expos system. Chad will be assigned to A ball.

April 15th, 1994.

Recap of April 13th to April 15th, 1994.

Game 1:

Expos: 0-0-1-0-3-0-0-0-0
Reds: 2-1-0-2-1-1-1-1-0

The Reds beat the Expos at home due to a surplus of runs in the bottom innings, scoring at least one run in 4 innings in a row. Mainly led by Kevin Mitchell who drove in 6 RBI. Kirk Rueter suffered his first loss of the season.

Game 2:

Expos: 0-0-2-0-1-2-1-2-0
Reds: 0-1-0-0-2-0-0-1-0

The Expos have broken their three game losing slide with a victory over Cincinatti. Darrin Fletcher keeps on dominating Montreal's opponents as he now has 5 homeruns on the year, he drove in 3 runs of their 8 and was the main reason this Montreal ballclub won.

Game 3:

Expos: 0-0-2-0-1-0-1-2-0
Reds: 0-0-0-0-1-0-2-0-0

The Montreal Expos won their second series of the year in a great pitching outing by ace Pedro Martinez, Pedro only gave up 1 run in 6 innings pitched while getting the win for his ball club, John Wetteland finished the game, getting his 1st save of the year.

Really, he is my pitching coach. He played in the MLB and I'm pretty positive that's him!

Really? That's pretty cool! I kind of feel bad about trading him now. Haha.
