Zero, you really need to stop ripping off the AI. Just because you can make a trade, doesn't mean you should. Why would the Marlins ever accept that trade?

I don't know, I just want the team to become greatness.

 Have fun depleting the rest of the league, I guess

(32-33) Philadelphia Phillies @ (29-34) Toronto Blue Jays

Phillies solve tough southpaw Mark Buehlre, claim victory. The visiting Phillies piled on the Blue Jays lay night, crushing them 7-0, and humiliating not only Toronto, but also the entire AL. Cliff Lee was terrific in the win allowing no runs on 8 hits, to claim his 8th win of the season. Ben Revere was a catalyst on offense going 2-4 with an RBI. The Phillies continue their series with Toronto today against the Blue Jays with Kyle Kendrick (2-7 4.73) and Ricky Romero (3-4 3.46) the probable starters.

W: Cliff Lee 8-3
L: Mark Buehrle 3-4
S: N/A
HR: N/A

Notables
Freddy Galvis 2-4 RBI R
Melky Cabrera 2-5 2 2B

But isn't that what we do in Power Pros? Rip off the AI and steal away great prospects to become the best team in the League?

First off, this isn't even Power Pros. I'm assuming this is The Show, which is so much deeper.

And secondly, no, we don't. Or at least we shouldn't. You could just destroy the AI and have a powerhouse, and that may be fun for a while, but you'll get bored with getting 115+ wins season after season. And it's not fun to read about every game being a slaughter, either.

There's nothing wrong with assembling a good team, winning 90-100 games each season, and making the playoffs. Maybe even build yourself a nice little dynasty along the way. But do that through drafting, training, and logical moves. Not by acquiring top prospects for pennies on the dollar.

I don't assume this team will be winning 115+ games anyway.

Only if I do really big steals like Gio Gonzalez, Anthony Rendon, and Lucas Giolito for Jimmy Rollins, which I could do, but I don't want to rip the AI off that much.

I don't even have any idea how you're getting these trades accepted - in the 2013 edition the trade AI is vastly improved, but I wasn't able to get any such trades through when I played 12.

(45-24) Tampa Bay Rays @ (34-37) Philadelphia Phillies

Philadelphia beats Tampa Bay in an interleague contest. Last night the Phillies gave their fans a respite from harsh reality of their lives, winning 8-7 over the Rays in walk-off fashion in front of 24,460 at Citizens Bank Park. Ryan Howard slugged a home run and drove in 2 runs, going 2-5 to lead the offense, including a walk-off double in the ninth. Though he only pitched one inning, Antonio Bastardo picked up the win (his 4th of the season) in relief of starter Kyle Kendrick. During the post-game news conference, manager Charlie Manuel offered his take on the game. "You always like to come back to win, and we were able to do just that against their bullpen."

The series resumes this afternoon, as the Rays look to get back on track by sending their ace David Price (7-3 3.28) to the mound against Jonathan Pettibone (1-4 3.49) and the Phillies.

(30-41) Pittsburgh Pirates @ (36-38) Philadelphia Phillies

Late rally too much for Phillies, who are defeated by Pirates. The Phillies suffered an extra-inning loss to the Pirates last night, losing 7-6 in 19 innings, with 41,651 tired fans on hand at Citizens Bank Park. Started Tyler Cloyd worked 6 innings and allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, but wasn't around when the game was decided, though he did record his 4th quality start of the season. Roy Halladay, working in extra innings, took the loss, allowing 1 run in 3 innings. Jimmy Rollins went 2-9, belted a home run, and drove in 2 runs to pace the offense.

Tonight is game 2 of the series, as the Phillies send Cliff Lee (8-3 3.10) to the hill against A.J. Burnett (3-5 4.15) and the Pirates. Andrew McCutchen looks to build on his 10-game hitting streak.

Working out of the bullpen in relief of Cole Hamels, Antonio Bastardo was over-powering, striking out 3 hitters in 1 inning to get his 5th win of the season. Ryan Howard smacked a solo home run and went 2-4 to carry the offense. Manager Charlie Manuel, discussing his team's performance, said, "It's not that I want to take credit for our winning streak, but come on! If we were losing all these games, where would the blame be placed?"

(42-39) Philadelphia Phillies @ (32-48) New York Mets

Streak over at 6 for visiting Phillies, who lose to NL East rival Mets. The Phillies couldn't do much against the Mets last night, losing to the Mets by a 5-2 count in a contest of NL East foes. The club got a boost from Domonic Brown, who hit a pinch-hit solo home run. Roy Ha
Halladay (3-2) was the starter and loser, working 5 innings and allowing 4 runs on 7 hits in defeat. Charlie Manuel took some questions from reporters after the game. "It was a god run while it lasted, but we had to lose some time. We'll recover."

Game 2 of the series is an afternoon affair at Citi Field, with John Lannan (4-0 4.46) going for the visiting Phillies while Zack Wheeler (5-6 3.62) gets the call for the Mets.

Philadelphia to make late second base move?

It has been reported that Lance Sharp has been trying to get a deal done with the Indians or the Athletics for a second baseman. Lance is reportedly interested in Ryan Raburn and Jed Lowrie.

Brewers and Yankees get deal done!

Today, July 4th, 2013, it has been reported that the Yankees and Brewers have completed a deal sending veteran LF Vernon Wells to the Brewers.

Vernon Wells has been traded to the Brewers for young 2B Scooter Gennett. Vernon Wells is batting .209 with 5 home runs so far this year, while Gennett is batting .232 through 49 games. This move may have been made for the Yanks to acquire some more second base depth to deal Cano away with the recent loss of Corban Joseph.

Huge Deal in the works?

Today, it's been announced that the Nationals have agreed to a huge proposal sent by Lance Sharp. The deal would send Gio Gonzalez, Bryce Harper, and Ian Desmond to the Phillies, and Cole Hamels, Jimmy Rollins, and Mike Adams to the Nationals.

The trade hasn't gone through yet, but here's Bud Selig's take on the deal. "This deal is just too big of a deal to go through, a trade like this, moving 3 stars for 3 stars shouldn't happen, and I feel that the Phillies are just robbing the Nats with this deal. Unless someone can convince me in the next couple of days, this'll be vetoed."

---------

So guys, give your take on this deal please. If you think it's veto-worthy tell me, if you think it's fair, tell me.
