Do you guys like these game updates that I've been putting up? Do you like seeing more games played and more updates?

Also do you like the update style?

If the team isn't winning I'd say don't worry about doing the game updates. I'd rather just see you sim through and try to improve. But if you're doing well I don't mind a few games here and there throughout the season. :) I think the updates are fine.

Pads option struggling shortstop to AAA
San Diego -- The Padres have reportedly optioned struggling shortstop Everth Cabrera to AAA. Cabrera is currently batting .181 with a homer and 6 RBI. General Manager Cody Cole said that it is a shame such a great player has to be sent down and that he hopes Everth [Cabrera] can pick it up in the minors.
Kelly Shoppach was placed on irrevocable waivers to be removed from the 40-man roster to make room for Reid Brignac to be called up.

May Analysis
May started out really well for the San Diego Padres. They were looking great taking almost every series. But as the month went on, injuries slowed down the Padres, and the rotation started to perform poorly, especially Cashner and Johnson. Nick Swisher (.304 7 19) went to the 15-Day DL with a shoulder strain, Alfredo Aceves (4-2 3.55 54) went to the 15-Day with a shoulder pull, Jarrod Saltalamacchia (.328 7 23) went to the 15 Day DL with a pulled calf, and Tim Stauffer (2.76) went to the 60-Day DL with a shoulder tear. The injury bug really bit the Padres in May. On the bright side, Andre Ethier is having a great season for the Pads, batting .309 with 9 home runs and 22 RBI. Yasmani Grandal is batting .303 with 3 home runs as well. Jacoby Ellsbury leads the team with 56 hits, accounting to a .269 average with 10 home runs and 27 RBI tacking on 12 stolen bases as well. Jedd Gyorko has been the King of extra base hits, tacking up 17 doubles, a triple, and 8 homers. Willie Dickinson currently leads the team with 11 home runs. Robbie Erlin has been great in the rotation for San Diego this year, going 7-2 with a 3.22 ERA. Johnson is 5-4 with a 5.35, Kelly is 4-3 with a 3.80, Aceves is 4-2 with a 3.55 before going on the DL, Cashner is 3-2 with a 4.56, and Ventura is 0-1 with a 5.68 in one start. Tyler Clippard has been a great closer, leading the league with 24 saves in 26 opportunities. At the end of May, the Padres still lead the division by a game and a half over the Diamondbacks.

Kelly's horrendous outing proves tragic in Cardinals blowout
June 1st, 2016

San Diego -- Casey Kelly didn't have a good start at all tonight. And by that, I mean it was probably his worst career start. He dealt 3 and a third of an inning allowing 6 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks. He gave up a solo home run to Matt Carpenter in the first inning, his 6th of the season. Yadier Molina was huge for the Cardinals going 3-4 with a double, 3 RBI, and a walk. Willie Dickinson got the runs going for the Padres in the 5th with a solo home run, his 12th. Jedd Gyorko and rookie Reynaldo Villanueva also tacked on RBI singles. Adam Wainwright pitched 8 innings for the Cards, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits and 4 strikeouts.

2016 Padres MLB Draft Results

1st Round - 2B Brad Hanson
51 Overall - C Potential

Scouting Report - Brad is a pretty good fielding second baseman that needs to work on his batting skills. He is very durable and avoids injuries well which is a good quality for him to have. He has solid speed but he'll never steal 35+ bases.

2nd Round - 3B Sebastian Cabrera
49 Overall - B Potential

Scouting Report - Sebastian has a solid bat and once it is fully developed it can be threatening to pitchers. He is also very durable and also has a great arm for long throws across the diamond.

3rd Round - LF Aaron Upshaw
52 Overall - D Potential

Scouting Report - Aaron does his magical work with his speed. He is a great base stealer and can easily steal 30 bags a year. He definitely needs to work on his glove and bat though if he ever wants to make the majors and to succeed.

4th Round - SP Jeff Corbett
64 Overall - C Potential

Scouting Report - Jeff is a pretty average pitcher. He doesn't really have a skill that will exceed his other tools. If his velocity develops the way it should and his breaking ball does as well we could see Jeff as a backend starter in the MLB soon.

5th Round - 3B Mariano Diaz
75 Overall - C Potential

Scouting Report - Mariano has one of the most phenomenal bats in the class. The reason he went so low is the fear that his skills have already plateaued and the only place for them to go is downhill. He definitely will be a AAA starter next year and could reach the pros as soon as June next year.

6th Round - Unsigned

Interesting 5th round pick... How old is Diaz? Is his age why people are thinking he already plateaued?

I'll have to check that. Originally, I was going to put the players' ages in the analysis but I forgot to.

June 6th, 2016

San Diego -- The Padres squeaked out a close victory over the Mets, 4-3, thanks to 3 big flies. Willie Dickinson got the party started for the Padres after Erlin gave up a run in the 3rd. huh, if anyone's plateaued, it's Hanson and Upshaw. I'm surprised Diaz didn't go 1st round instead.
