Worley tossed 8.2 innings and we won cause of it, struckout 13 too.

Image
We constantly outhit the opponent and still lose. We can't deliver when it counts.

Image
Archie Bradley pitched well, 6 innings of 3 run ball, but DeGrom shut us down.

Image
Blew it in the last 3 innings.

I don't know you can call it The Cole Hamels deal on a lesser scale-I say it is a deal that a team has to do. In MLBPP08 and he threw a luck no-hitter would you trade him?

Seems like a bit of tough luck in the W-L column. I think once the offense gets consistent and Bradley settles in you might hit a hot streak. The Vanimal was a nice back-end add.

Yeah I think we can make a push. 102 games to go after this series, plenty of time.
Image
Yasmany Tomas led the way with 2 shots, he's having a ROTY caliber season.

Image
Can't throw 8.2 innings every night.

Image
Series loss to the division rivals, no big deal we'll take 3 from San Fran next time out.

We traded RP Brad Ziegler (73) to the Orioles for RF Henry Urrutia (58) and SP Bob Bundy. (58) So we called up RP Vidal Nuno from AAA

And then we sent Nuno right back down to AAA after one game in which he got a concussion, out 3-4 weeks. Called up SP Chase Anderson

Into San Francisco...
Image
A good effort.

Image
Another good start by Corbin, Tomas hit 2 shots and was moved to the #3 spot in the lineup, more ABs for him is helping us more than more ABs for Goldy, if that makes sense.

Image
Hellickson's been on fire! 4 shots from Inciarte, Tomas, Jake Lamb and Owings led us to the win.

From here on out we're gonna be employing a platoon in the DH role, with Trumbo playing against lefties, and Lamb against righties. Here's what it's looking like now.

Los Angeles. But, the weird AL brother of the Dodgers. Not doing too hot.

Image
Shutout. Worley only gave up 2 earned runs. Too. Many. Errors.

Image
Complete turn around from the last night, season high in hits and runs. Yasmany Tomas continued his MVP bid going 3-6 with another HR and 3 RBI.

His stats are currently looking like this... .348/.387/.661/1.048 with 18 dingers and 42 runs batted in. Crazy stuff. He's 2nd in the MVP tab but I guess the game doesn't seem to notice we're 8.5 back and his fielding pct is at an awful .898...let's hope he turns it around. I could put in Lamb to field and Tomas as a DH against righties but his ratings are much higher, still plenty of season to go.

Back to Arizona for a 2 game set against the Angels, except we're home.

7 runs in the first inning, shutout for the rest except for an inning. Offence needs to find its stride.

OF Mark Trumbo pulled his shoulder. Out for 1-2 weeks, so there goes our platoon plan. 3B Jake Lamb will take over full time DH duties for the time being, while we called up RF Zach Borenstein from AAA.

Image
Everyone in the lineup got a hit. Borenstein got injured but he's aight no DL, just a boo-boo.

RP Daniel Hudson was DFA'd. RP Jake Barrett called up from AAA. He's been tearing it up, 2.45 ERA with 27 K's in 22 innings pitched as the closer down there.

Only 3 hits lol idek. Ender Inciarte continued his 20 game hitting streak though.

Image
Worley has either been lights out for us, or brutal. I'm sure he'll find consistency. 8 IP and 10 K's.

Image
Another good pitching performance, 13th complete game of the year for the Dbacks as Collmenter went the distance on 110 pitches.

Yasmany Tomas rounds the bases for his NL leading 20th home run.

Image
Archie Bradley had to be pulled early due to elbow pain...but he turned out to be fine. Great performance by Delgado, good spot starter when we need him.

Image
A solo shot by Chris Owings in the top of the 11th sealed the deal. Patrick Corbin had one bad inning giving up 6 earned runs, but the offence saved him from a loss.

Image
Swept the division leader! 5 wins in a row. Hellickson has continued his hot streak tossing 7 innings of 2 run ball.
