| Post subject: | PoTD #277: Who Wins the 2016 Home Run Derby? |
The Home Run Derby will be contested tomorrow, and there's a lot of prolific (and only recently prolific) dinger hitters in the field this year. It'll have the same format as last year (hit as many homers in X amount of time), and is made in a bracket format (as shown below). Here are the matchups in detail, courtesy of MLB's Home Run Derby Bracket Challenge: (1) Mark Trumbo, Baltimore (26 HR, Longest HR: 458 ft, Top Exit Velocity: 117.2mph) vs. (8) Corey Seager, LA Dodgers (17, 439.8, 110.3mph) (4) Robinson Cano, Seattle (20, 427.1, 111.4mph) vs. (5) Giancarlo Stanton, Miami (19, 475, 123.9mph) (3) Adam Duvall, Cincinnati (22, 457, 110.3mph) vs. (6) Wil Myers, San Diego (19, 453.4, 113.2mph) (2) Todd Frazier, Chicago White Sox (23, 427.4, 113.5mph, DEFENDING CHAMP) vs. (7) Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado (18, 459, 118mph) Who wins?
