I'll list the abilities and give you the description.

Blue Abilities for Fielders

Clutch Hit - Great in the clutch
VS Lefty/Righty - Good versus lefties/righties
Stealing - Good at stealing bases
Base Running - Good at base running
Throwing - Good at throwing accuracy
Consistency - Not streaky
Durability - High injury resistance
Contact Hitter - Gets many hits
Power Hitter - Gets many homeruns
Spray Hitter - Hits well to all fields
Gd IF Htr - Fast start from home plate
Grt IF Htr - Very fast start from home plate
Push Hitter - Good at hitting to the opposite field
Tough Out - Has excellent bat control
Pull Hitter - Hits often to the same side he bats from
Gd Bunt - Good at bunting
Bunt Master - Great at bunting
Firstball Hitter - Good versus the pitcher's first pitch
Gd Pinch Hitter - Good pinch hitter
Table Setter - Good at getting on base
HD 1st Slide - Slides to beat a close play
Tough Runner - Runs well around bases
Gd Block - Protects the plate to impede runners
Gd Catcher - Good at helping his pitcher
Grt Catcher - Great at helping his pitcher
Gold Glover - Top class fielding
Cannon Arm - Low and fast throws from the outfield
Barehand CTH - Good at catching barehanded
Pivot Man - Easily turns double plays
Trash Talk - Unsettles batters

Blue Abilities for Pitchers

Poise - Good pitching after giving up a hit
w/RISP - Good pitching with runners in scoring position
VS LH/RH Batter - Good versus lefty/righty batters
Fastball Life - Good life on fastball
Spin - Good spin on breaking balls
Release - Good quick release, not prone to steals
Consistency - Not streaky (different from fielder's Consistency)
Recovery - Quick to recover from being tired
Gd Reflexes - Good at fielding balls hit right back to him
Gd Pickoff - Good at checking runners
Poker Face - Does not show fatigue or emotion
Battler - Pitches full of fighting spirit
Gd Low Pitch - Good control on low pitches
Groundball P - Hard pitch to hit into a fly ball
STR Finisher - Plays well into the latter innings



Purple Abilities for Pitchers

Pressure's On - Pitch better when there are 3 balls
Mellow - No longer loses cool
Be Safe - Pitch away from middle
Believe - Close out games better
Prepare - Start games better

Relax - Fields better under pressure (upgrade from Error Prone)
Restrain - Strikes out less frequently (upgrade from Free Swinger)

Yes, you did a good job on the Wiki page, thanks. I was beginning to list each ability as its own page as I'm sure there are many other intangibles about the abilities like how/when/where to get them, price of it (using experience points) and special features

I'm checking out the wiki, great stuff there. hope we can get some more folks here too because I'm sure there will be some things that the wiki can't explain on its own

You missed Trash Talk. It's an ability that unsettles batters that I've only seen in characters created automatically after you draft them in Season mode.

I just drafted a pitcher with the red ability "shuuto spin".. any idea what this does?

The pitcher's four seamer will have some occasional arm-side run, which is considered bad in Japanese baseball, hence a red ability.
