Just a thought....haven't yet tried it.

When you run out of money you get a visit form a loanshark giving you $500. You are then suppose to pay that amount back at the end of the month. If you can not pay up then you have to sell off some of your items to make up the differane. Here is my question....

What happens if you have nothing to sell back and are still in debt? Do you wake up the next day with concert shoes and fixing to get a swimming leason

Just thought of this when I was at work.

You get a game over.

And if you try to finish the game while in debt, the debt collector visits you at the end (to sell your items or collect).

Getting in debt isn't a horrible thing, although according to the debt contract that appears in your inventory, "it makes you look bad" which i assume lowers your scout rating. The events themselves also appear to take up RE's.

I know from experience, that if you don't have enough items to sell to make up the debt, he gives you more time, but if you don't get it by then, its a game over.

I found that if you go in debt the very last week of the game, just before the All-Stars game, that you just end the game with a negative amount of money. The scene with the loan shark never triggers and there is no consequence (at leat that I saw) for having a negative amount. I think you can only get this to happen by dating in the last week (i.e., no REs occur that cost you $ in the last week, only GJ). This could be a great way to get a cheap ability (e.g., gyroball) at the end of the game. Just remember not to take Annie to the amusement park on your prior date or she won't want to go back there again the next time.

I also found that if you get injured after the CR game in yr 3 it is always a minor injury. The hospital event never seems to occur, presumably b/c there's not enough time left for it to play out. At least that was my experience. (I know this last part is off-topic, but it was related to my other end-of-game finding above, so I included it here.)
