I recall that the Tulips' players end up voting for the All-Star team. What's the significance of this? I noticed that sometimes Pedro Martinez starts instead of Jake Peavy in the Superstar Game. Does this have something to do with having Rex or Brad?

it doesn't matter if you have brad or rex
the pitcher just is random between them

so then what's the all-star voting for?

seems to be the only thing that has no impact whatsoever. Why is Pedro an All-Star anyway? Is he good in this game?

I once exhausted both Pedro and Santana and surprisingly Peavy was the one who came on in relief.

I wish there were a bit more variety in who plays and some real managing.

I think poor sense is terrible and not worth the initial stats unless you can get rid of it quickly through a random event. I tried it once and felt like I was breathing in thin air.

The most obvious negative is in abilities gambling doesn't help much, namely power for position players and stamina/control for pitchers.

But even in gambling those few points in costs can make a big difference. For example, have you ever encountered a scenario where an upgrade cost for a certain stat was barely below the amount you get from a certain training, and you are able to buy that stat upgrade and gamble on something else using the remainder of your points? You do it the next week, and the next...for several more weeks before the stat's cost increases and you no longer have leftover points to gamble with.

Now consider if the cost of that stat was just a few points higher... the threshold would come a few weeks earlier, and you miss out on a couple of gambling opportunities because of that. If you add that all up it can make a difference.

For this reason I think the Chocolate Sponge Cake is a very underrated item. I've never heard of anyone raving about it, but adding a few points to your training points at the right time can give you gambling opportunities you otherwise would not have had.

I know that it works for the next practice (i'm assuming THAT turn only?)... but is it possible that it would provide a boost in EXP for ANY event that involves exp gain that turn?

At that point, eat before every game, and THAT would be the kicker.

I created Ultimate with Pr Sense and he had it the entire run through Success Mode. I never noticed anything that kept me from making a great player as long as you were willing to gamble/save/reload. But in your defense, I am currently working on a player that will beat out Ultimate fairly easy and he started with good stats and Gd Sense. I should have him done in the next few weeks depending on my schedule, and at the earliest this weekend. When comparing them you will see a noticeable difference, but my only point is that it is very much possible to make a good player with Pr Sense.

Yeah, I finished up Babe Ruth this morning. He had Pr Sense the entire game, but finished with the following stats even though I didn't play him as efficiently as I could have - I'll post his password either tonight or tomorrow sometime.

TRJ - 4
PWR - A (234)
CON - C (10)
RUN SPD - D (8)
ARM STR - F (5)
FLD - A (14)
E RES - B (13)

Clutch Hitter 5
VS Lefty 5
Consistency 4
Durability 4
Pull Hitter
Power Hitter
Tough Out
Firstball Hitter
Gold Glover
(maybe one or two more I'm forgetting)

I've finally finished my initial team (complete fielding team + some pitchers) all with likenesses and names of my friends/family.

This may sound sad or funny, depending, but I always have to put in their correct birthdate (even though I start them all out at age 22 to keep them around longer). If they aren't around to ask if I don't know their birthdate and no one else knows, I have to go to my county's traffic/parking case docket records on brbpub.com and put in their name. Easy birthdate!

Can Babe Ruth pitch?

I love how it's possible to get a guy with G fielding, but with the Gold Glover ability. Would he be a good or bad fielder?

One would have to make 2 Babes, 1 for the BoSox pitcher, the other the Yankee Slugger... makes more sense anyways.

I mean... if we had FULL flexibility, you'd be able to convert some of the OFs into Ps ...
