So, you can only get Intimidator from Becky and Genius from Annie? What does Genius do? And if you can get the gyroball from Annie for pitchers, what can you get for hitters? And one last thing...(didn't realize I had so many questions)... When you get the bookworm title "Inventor you can create things by studying. My guy wrote a love poem. I assumed he would pull it on a date and read it but he never has. Anyone know what this is for?

The poem is a random event that you can get at any bookworm level. I have gotten it numerous times, and it can be used on X Mas and V Day as a gift. It works quite well, and saves you a good chunk of cash.

Thanks; the only time I ever had that happen was at the inventor level. I figured out that the Genius title isn't something you get from Annie. I guess its a result of bookworm being so high. Anybody know of anything significant Annie gives fielders?

If you are going to go fielder, I would almost say you are better off with the Sarah story line. There are more ability gains from dating her. Usually when you do the photo sessions. Not major abilities really, but quantity.

At least that has always been my experience.

That's an intriguing idea... rely on the Sarah storyline to supply a majority of blues while you focus on other items. I will give this a try when I make my new center fielder (the one missing piece to my 8-man fielding roster)

Yeah, but my guy is in the third year and I was just trying to figure out if I should date her any more than I have to. I can get her hearts up to 10 if I want but it seems to be a waste; no "intimidator" skill with her (or anything of significance apparently).

I am at about the end of year three with a character, and I think that at the end that Annie asks you to quit baseball and become her research partner. Does anyone know what the different fate cards will get you, or if you can even play a card?

I haven't seen a fate card option at the end for Annie.

I don't believe that one's a fate card decision.

From memory, there are 3 choices, and all of them say no to a degree.

Oh, I don't remember making ANY decision with Annie... I'll have to try that again. When I reached the end she just told me she wanted to go with me and my guy said yes without any direction from me whatsoever.

It's not AT the end, where she quits school and follows you around like an adorable puppy. Although I almost drew happy tears when I saw it the first time (right, if my gf told that to me... i'd send her right back to school so we have a backup plan when i get hit with that knee bomb).

It must be a random event that's triggered with a 9-10 love rating? I only got it once when I spent 100% time buffing the secondary skills to find random event choices, and dating annie constantly (you can bet i would have quit baseball, with all G abilities?!?, please).

Annie will occasionally give a secrets of pitching on Valentine's day (as well as the possibility of getting it from the surprise bag from Xmas). I've also gotten Gold Glover from the baseball game date and STR Finisher from the amusement park date (using challenge in both cases).

This was asked earlier but not answered that I could see--does anyone know what the genius ability does? I assume this is not the level 2 bookworm thing, but a blue ability?

Also, I am wondering how worthwhile is Gd Delivery compared to other stuff you may get from a secrets of pitching?

I'm pretty sure the geniius title is acquired from either reaching bookworm level 4, getting the highest grade in the class on your final, or a combination of the two. As to what it does, if anything, I haven't figured out. It may just be a title; I noticed my success character has the genius title on his profile but when you load him into a season its removed.

Genius title may make practice more effective, but I'm not sure on that. As for good delivery, it is very important. It is the second most important and I'm going off the description of abilities Odawali has posted. I assumed before that good delivery is automatic, but apparently it is not, so if you have a guy with a good fastball and breaking balls it is very important for him to have thise.
