If anybody would help I'm wondering what the fastest pitch is in Power Pros, not including 4seam fastball or 2seam FB. My guess is sinking fastball which is i think 5 mph slower than 4seam. I'm too lazy to check myself lol
While we're on the topic, might as well check for slowest pitch too.
Thanks for the help!

P.S. after i've collected all the "data" I'll put up a new post, it might be interesting :)

Also the CUT (Cutting Fastball) can be quick

I think the H-Slider is pretty fast and Knuckleball should be the slowest. But doesn't your top speed have to do with the speed of your breaking pitches?

I finished testing. (I guess I wasn't so lazy after all :D ) seems like the sinking fastball is about 2 mph slower than 4seam fastball. the cutter was 3-4 mph slower.
Now I just need to know the slowest pitch in Power Pros.
By the way, the pitches are all exactly the same in 2008, right? I haven't gotten 2008 yet.
And Lanceberkman, I mean the difference between the 4seam fastball (fastest pitch-whatever its speed is) and the breaking ball. For instance, the Curveball will always have a higher speed than the Knuckleball, no matter if the pitcher's fastball speed is 105 or 77.
Also, I'm looking for a consensus of responders before I turn the data into something interesting later. (I'm keeping it a secret for now!)

Try the Knuckleball. It should be the slowest.

Actually the Slow Curveball is 2 mph slower than the knuckler.

Anybody else willing to do some more tests to confirm this? (I'm looking for exact data, not just that a pitch is quick or not.)

Usually what I do to test pitch speeds is go into a pitching practice session, throw all the pitches right down the middle then add up the speeds. After that I divide it by however many pitches you throw (10 I think) and I'll have the average speed.

Of course it's different for every pitcher. I find it fun to do the rotation in one sitting, half the bullpen in the next and then the other half after that.

if your pitchers top speed is 49 MPH (the lowest possible)
every pitch you throw breaker or not is 49 mph (i think)
