Who are the best players at each position (list 2 for each)?

Not in real life, but in the game. A-Rod doesn't seem that good in this game, and neither does Hanley Ramirez - neither have the A's I'd have expected. Which players have the most A's?

I think Adam Dunn has two A's but he's a one trick pony (power hitter)

so what's his other A? Can't be contact because he strikes out too much, and I pretty sure he's a poor fielder - there talk of him being a DH in the AL if he was traded.

The "dream team" you go up against at the end of success mode is pretty indicative of the best position players in the game.

His other A is arm strength. If he can catch the ball he can throw it well

I think we'd all have to debate about Cano being the 2nd baseman. I think they put him in because he meshes well with Jeter.

Yeah, Utley's probably better. But remember, the game was made right after Cano's .342 batting average year. Utley wasn't the runaway best second baseman until this year.

if salary is a consideration, guys like Orlando Hudson at 2B, Jose Reyes at SS, and Carl Crawford CF are maybe the best players in this game. Hudson is a monster at 2B with his speed, good control, and pivot man ability.

Yeah, with regards to Cano I was speaking strictly in terms of their MLBPP personas. In real life I don't think Cano is a top 5 second basemen, but in the game he's pretty strong.

what five second baseman are better than Cano

I can only think of: Utley, Hudson (defense only), Phillips, and possibly Roberts

Felix Hernandez from the Mariners is really good and cheap.

Carlos Beltran is a great power hitter and is a switch hitter. I have gotten tons of switch hitting home runs with him.

What about Brain McCann catcher for the Braves. B contact A power. Plus he is very young!! Prefect to aquire for a young team or as salarier dump pickup.
