i had a player injured on september 25 and he was placed on the 15 day DL. i then transfered him to the AAA team the same day and now i am currently in the 2nd game of the world series, october 24. it's been about a month later, the player is healed and apparently off the DL according to the transaction page but his name bar in the MLB/AAA menu remains blacked out and i cannot transfer him back to the MLB team.

do you guys know what this is about? maybe this has something to do with the disabled list.. is the DL an automatic thing for players or do you have to manually take them off? i am still able to transfer any of the other AAA players to the MLB roster and also the window that says "eligible to register with MLB after (x) days" doesn't appear for the player in question. this isn't really a problem for me as i am breezing through the post season and i can't change the difficulty level.. it's just kinda weird and i was wondering what the deal is w/ this.

You can't change your roster in the postseason. If he wasn't on the roster at the end of september he can't be in the playoffs.

This is 2007 lance. 2007 Was different I think, so I don't know why it's like that.

EDIT: I once had Jose Reyes get injured before the postseason, and he healed during the World Series and I was able to bring him up, so I don't know why it's not working for you.

I know he's talking about 07. I never tried to call anyone up in october though because I never had minor leaguers.

i tried transfering other players from AAA to the MLB roster and it worked fine. maybe it's some kind of glitch where players who are ineligible to be transfered back to the big league roster when the post season starts stay that way and have their name bar blacked out for the remainder of the year :?

ok so after completing game 2 of the world series last night, that blonde secretary girl says that Garciaparra (the injured player) has been taken off the DL. this is after she said he was eligable to come of the DL about 2 weeks earlier in the schedule but something to the effect that he wasn't completely healed and apparently stayed on the DL even though the transaction page says hes no longer on the disabled list. i guess this explains everything though very confusing
