why is it that every time i use fast mode or skip through the schedule on the schedule screen i lose the game. i've tried with three different teams, all with different rosters and if i don't physically play they lose about 90% of games. when i control them through a game it is a gauranteed win by like 20 points to zero, but it takes so long to play through the 150 something games in a season. does anyone know a way that my team that should be playing amazing every game can win when skipping the schedule (every hitter on my team is above 300., and when i play the other teams will score 2 runs at the most.) thanks for your help.

It's good to lose. Once you get addicted to the game, you will get tired of winning all the time. But for now... you could go to My Data and edit all your players to max stats with every ability and see if that helps... Note: You need to restart your season mode

haha thanks but i'll feel bad if i do that, kinda like cheating lol, i just don't get why chase utley will hit a homerun every time at bat when i'm controlling him, but he'll go 2 for 4 or 2 for 4 with a coupla singles on fast mode. i usually actually play the first four innings of a game get to a lead of 10 or more, then use fast game, but still they will score like 13 runs or something and i'll get zero.

might help to just restart the season if you're not too far.

It's all in the bullpen. Having a good bullpen ensures mantaining lead or keeping the team within 2 runs of the opposition. Also try tinkering with how the team plays (I think it's Team Management), how you run the bases, pinch hitting, lineup style, and such. It affects a lot in how your players do in the field. I like these settings:

Lineup Style: Balanced
Pinch Hitters: Standard
Pinch Runners: Standard
Defensive Subs: Standard
Base Stealing: Frequent
Sacrifice Bunt: Frequent
Squeeze Bunt: Frequent
Hit and Run: Frequent

I'm a small ball kind of guy

Jason, do you have 2008 or just 2007?

You'll see a HUGE difference between the games

For one, people with E contact and below can hit .300, so the Dunn's and swishers somehow hit well fro average

You won't have pitchers throwing 20 k's a game often, and noone has above 300 k's in '08

sucess mode in '08 makes it easy to make better players

'08 Loads so much faster, you'll see a HUGE difference when you skip games in season mode

all reliever shave E stamina unlike '07

4 trajectory is different than '07, in 2007 it meant that you would hit alot of homeruns, in this game it means that you'll hit alot of homeruns. BUT it means that you'll have a good average so for players like Adam Dunn, edit his contact to E so he doesnt hit .300.
And if you don't like the purple bar, just press name underbar and it'll turn it off. Its on the season mode options

Hope you enjoy it!
