Yes, I'm going to be taking on a created roster, not sucess mode. I've gotten pretty adept at making Success players... it wouldn't be fair.
That being said, I have allowed my self two success pleayers and that's it. I have a starting pitcher and an outfielder.

I won't be playing every game, maybe 1/2 or 1/3. I'll also try to post standings and stats if I can.

Polunu Nohea, the owner of the newly formed Hawaii Volcanoes, stood looking out a window from his new office, overlooking the Hawaiian beach. After a few minutes of looking out at the waves he turned to a conference table, where the room’s only other occupant sat. Polunu gave his general manager a significant look. His GM looked at his watch and shrugged. Polunu took an exasperated breath and, as he turned back toward the window, there was a knock on his office door.
“Come in please.” Said Polunu, turning to the door.
A short blonde woman opened the door and stuck her head in the office. “Mr. Valentine is here for his meeting with you and Mr. Potter, sir.”
“Fantastic, Janice. Please, show him in."
Bobby Valentine walked into the office, shook hands with Nohea and Potter and took a seat at the meeting desk, Polunu sitting at the head.
“Bobby, I would like to thank you for agreeing to coach this team. Taking charge of an expansion team is never an easy thing and I’m sure you and Christopher will have a lot of work to do.” Said Polunu, sitting back in his chair.
Christopher leaned forward a bit and looked at Bobby, “I trust you received the roster I sent you?”
Bobby flinched just a bit “I did, there is a lot of potential on this roster, and we are very young. I’m just concerned about our starting pitching, doesn’t look like there are very many pitchers that will be able to go more than 5 innings.”
Christopher smiled, “Yes, well, it was very difficult to try and lure free agents here, especially veteran pitchers.” His expression brightening he added, “I didn’t leave you with zero talent though, did I?”
Bobby laughed “I’d like to know how you found these two guys and how you kept them away from the Yankees.”
“Trade secrets, but these guys should give us something to build around.”
“This is all well and good, but we need to be competitive.” Interjected Polunu, speaking at the meeting for the first time. “We are way off the main land and we don’t have access to as many potential fans as the rest of the league. If we can’t at least be competitive, we won’t last here. I’m from Hawaii and I love that we have a pro franchise here and I would like to keep it here.”
Bobby had pulled a sheet of paper toward him that Christopher gave him as Polunu spoke. He contemplated the sheet for a moment and spoke “Being in the American League, we have the advantage of using a DH, which should help us at the plate, but we will also need maybe another starter till these young kids develop. The AL west can be tough with the Angels and Rangers, but we should be able to compete.”
“Fantastic!” Exclaimed Polunu getting up and headed to the door, “I shall let you two get to work then, I have a pig roast to attend.”

I like it, I guess since the Sluggers got deleted, Bobby can coach the Volcanoes.

Seems like a Hawaiian team would attract Japanese fans, yes? And as long as you could offer decent contracts, F/As would be easily attracted also.

Anyways, looks excellent. Keep up the good work.

In 07, the Gray-Bars are pretty good. I don't know why the skills are worse in 08.
