Paul: I have no Vanimal on my team...

Francona after the game:

"I hope that we can get back to using Chapman in a workhorse role, Ryan (Perry) has absolutely SUCKED the first few appearances with an 11.3 ERA. I would like to give a shoutout to Brandon Hicks, the MLB leader in batting average, and Scott Sizemore with his 5 homers.

I could've sworn you made Vance Worley... I guess I'll take Trumbo and Stubbs.

Team Meeting

Francona: Hey! Everyone come into the locker room! This is a team meeting!

(Everyone runs into the locker room, and starts changing-- except for Teagarden and Heyward. They are being hazed.)

Francona: Good job the first 6 games, guys. In the first go-around in the rotation, we went 5-1. But we can do better than--

(Francona notices Teagarden walking around the room in SpongeBob boxers, and Heyward is wearing Superman boxers)

Francona: What the heck?

Fister: It's their hazing coach.

Francona: But you're ALL rookies! Shouldn't I get to pick the hazing for you?

Fister: Oh, fine.

YOU PICK THE HAZING!

(Players can opt out, but will be benched for 2 games)

A. Everyone will participate in an open-to-the-public practice... wearing only their underwear. (tank tops and boxers)
B. Everyone will go up and talk to the media about their amazing manager.
C. Francona will host a full-blown, awesome party... DURING A GAME. Everyone is invited.

I'll take Ogando and Walden, and choose C.

Note: if you participate in C, you don't play that day, but if you don't there is no penalty. Just that you don't get to go to the party.

Everyone gets a vote.

I vote for A

Heyward during hazing: Man this is some BS. I'm the captain so why do I get hazed first?

Francona: Shut up Heyward unless you want to be on the bench!

Francona: You're not officially captain.

Smith: We do have a backup RF too...
