Last night, two of the top teams in the AL battled each other. In the bottom of 1, McClester hit a solo homer and Battle got an RBI double. In the bottom 2, Rupp hit a solo homer to make it 3-0. In the bottom of the third, McClester got a ribbie double and Eckert hit a two run bomb. After 6, the score was 6-0. Gregorio dealt a 6 inning shutout but was too fatigued to throw anymore. John Johnson was brought in to throw three innings in hopes of recording a save. In the bottom of the 7th, Battle and Sandoval got RBI doubles to make it 8-0. Johnson wasnt as lights out as you would expect. In the eighth, Ramon Santiago got a 2-R single. In the ninth, Konami hit an RBI double. There were two outs and Johnson was fatigued. The GM, Lucas Sweany, decided to keep Johnson in and the first pitch he threw was a jack-up pitch right down the pipe. Delmon Young smashed a 2-R single to rightfield to make it 8-5. Johnson had to be taken out with an injury. Titus Shannon finished off the last batter with a lineout and recorded the save.
