The Knights couldn't beat King Felix and the division leading Mariners.

In the top of the first, Trenton Harper got the first hit against Felix Hernandez with a infield single. He then stole second on the next pitch. Mars Bronson advanced Harper with a grounder to first. James Rodwick got an RBI ground out as Harper scored. Javier Vazquez then got a double to bring Pablo Sanchez up to bat. Sanchez grounded out. In the bottom of the 1st, Ichiro sent a ball off the wall to get a double. Next pitch, Adrian Beltre sends one to the exact same place to score Ichiro. Jose Vidro then got a single to put runners on the corners. Raul Ibanez put up a long 6 pitch at bat before singling to score Beltre. Sexson had a big chance to homer but struck out instead. On a play that should have been an error, Jose Guillen got on first to load the bases for Jojima. Jojima who has been good in the clutch, struck out for out number 2. The inning ended when Betancourt flew out to Vazquez. The game progressed quickly to the 7th, neither pitcher letting up another run, until Bud Zinski got his first homer with a 2 run blast to center giving the Knights the lead! 3 ground outs later, the game advanced to the 7th inning stretch. In the bottom of the 7th, the Mariners retook the lead after pinch hitter Ben Broussard got a 2 run double. That ended the day for Martinez and started it for Jeffrey Lancelot. Bloomquist was called in to pinch run for Brousard. Lancelot then got Ibanez to ground out. In the bottom of the 8th the Mariners added to their lead. After Kenji Jojima doubled, Jason Ellison was called in to pinch run, and he scored on a Yuniesky Betancourt double. Betanourt then scored on Lopez's double. HE also scored, this time on Ichiro's single. This was the end of the day for Lancelot, who gave up 3 runs. Greg Wayne was called in to try and end the inning. He didn't do it immediately, as he gave up a single to Ben Broussard to put runners on the corners, but then retired Bloomquist to end the inning. J.J. Putz was called in to save the game, and he retired Wang, Zinski, and Ware.

Homecoming Night, AT&T Park

The Knights lost their homecoming game in a thrilling 6-5 game.

The starting pitchers will be Tino Martinez, replacing a not fully rested Allen Jacobs, and Maza, the pitcher who started in the first game of the season.

The Knights were not holding back as they scored the first run of the game off a Javier Vazquez sac fly in the bottom of the 1st. The Broncos answered quickly though, tying it in the second with back to back doubles by Raines and Bouknight. We now head to the top of the 3rd, where Venafro gets his first career home run with a 400 ft. blast to left. When asked about it after the game Venafro just replied "He threw it just where I like it and I just swung." Then in the 4th, the Broncos added too their lead after Brazell doubled and Bouknight drove him in. The Knights lowered their lead though, after a Bud Zinski Solo home run. The bottom of the 5th was exciting as Pablo Sanchez hit an RBI single off the wall in right, scoring Mars. Then Chen Wang gave the Knights the leade with another RBI single, this time scoring James. But the Broncos asnswered tight away, tying the game with back to back doubles by Daigle and Raines in the 6th. They then went on to take the lead when Bouknight got an RBI groundout and made it 2 runs when McDade got a double. This ended the night for Martinez. Greg Wayne was called in to replace him. The next score came in the bottom of the 7th, with James getting a solo homer to left. After that, no other players got on base as the Broncos won in their 5th encounter with the Knights.

Shouldn't you have put more emphasis on the importance of the perfect game?
