June in Review
June wasn't a good month for the A's going 10-17 for June making their season record 35-46, a .432 winning percentage. Here are the AL West standings through June 30th:

Seattle Mariners 50-31
Texas Rangers 47-34
Los Angeles Angels 40-41
Oakland Athletics 35-46


And nowm we anaylze the AL West team performances so far:

The Seattle Mariners have surprised everybody this year with a 50-31 record at exactly half-season. They went 16-11 for the month of June. Their pitchers have posted a 4.33 ERA, 1st in west, given up 384 runs, 1st, given up 61 home runs, 2nd, struck out 619 batters, 1st, and walked 394 batters, 2nd. They've hit .233, 3rd, scored 407 runs, last, gotten 546 hits, last, hit 43 dingers, last, gotten 39 sacrifices, 3rd, and stolen 76 bases, 3rd. Obviously, the Mariners strengths are pitching. Jonathan Sanchez has pitched an all-star caliber season going 8-3 with a 2.90 ERA and 100 strikeouts. Trevor Cahill has gone 7-1 with a 2.59 ERA and 94 strikeouts himself. Ichiro has hit .348 and gone 31/39 on the base paths.

The Texas Rangers went 14-13 in June. Their pitchers posted a 4.65 ERA so far, 2nd, given up 391 runs, 2nd, given up 641 hits, 2nd, given up 64 bombs, last, struck out 547 batters, 3rd, and walked 382 batters, 1st. They've hit .269, 1st, scored 506 runs, 1st, gotten 749 hits, 1st, hit 68 homers, 2nd, gotten 42 sacrifices, 1st, and stolen 116 bases, 1st. Yu Darvish has exploded this year going 13-1 with a 1.62 ERA and 194 strikeouts this year. Michael Young has also had an MVP like season batting .404 with 5 homers and 64 RBIs. Ian Kinsler has also had a big year sporting a .332 average with 12 homers and 57 RBIs.

The L.A. Angels have gotten back up to a .500 like record going 17-9 for June. The Angels have posted a 5.46 team ERA, last, given up 466 runs, last, given up 645 hits, 3rd, given up 62 homers, 3rd, struck out 544 hitters, last, and walked 457 guys, last. They have hit .227, last, scored 410 runs, 3rd, gotten 612 hits, 3rd, hit 62 home runs, 3rd, gotten 40 sacrifices, 2nd, and stolen 93 bases, 2nd. Albert Pujols has hit a .281 clip and hit 8 roundtrippers this year. Austin Jackson is still a nuisance to other catchers going 25/26 in stolen base attempts this year.

The Oakland Athletics went a disappointing 10-17 in June. They have posted a 5.42 team ERA, 3rd, given up 464 runs, a close 3rd, given up 665 hits, last, given up 58 homers, 1st, struck out 551 hitters, 2nd, and walked 453 batters, 3rd. They have hit .245, 2nd, and scored 412 runs, 2nd, hit 636 hits, 2nd, hit 74 home runs, 1st, gotten 29 sacrifices, last, and have stolen 61 bases, last. Josh Reddick is hitting a .289 clip this year with 18 homers and 61 RBIs. He is also 14/17 in stolen base opportunities. Collin Hollandsworth is also having a solid year going .285 with 14 homers and 66 RBIs. Bryce Harper, .262 9 59, is also doing pretty decent on the year.
