* If you post a team or a set of players, add players by editing your starting post so they're all in the same post. A bump to announce the edit is appropriate.
* Posting images are fine, provided they are small in dimension and data. 800x600 and ~50Kb should be the biggest you can post inline (using the [IMG] tag), anything larger, post a link or a clickable thumbnail instead.
* If you have wiki rights, add your player(s) and team(s) there as well!

Here's the guys I think should also make the team, and I guess you guys + me could make them.

Roger Hornsby (2B)
Lou Gehrig (1B)
Honus Wagner (SS)
Joe DiMaggio (CF/LF/RF)
Roberto Clemente (RF/LF/CF)
Josh Gibson (C)
Sadaharu Oh (1B)
Cool Papa Bell (CF/LF)
Oscar Charleston (CF/LF/RF)
Pop Lloyd (SS)
Sandy Koufax (LHSP)
Christy Mathewson (RHSP)
Lefty Grove (LHSP)
Rube Foster (RHSP)
Satchel Paige (RHSP)

I'd like to fill out some of the AAA roster, too.

While researching some of the players, I came across this.
It's the Neyer/James Guide to Pitchers preview on Google Books.
It essentially lists all of the pitches and a mini-scouting report for each pitcher (but being a preview quite a few pages are omitted). Nevertheless, many of HOF'ers are still in it.
It's horribly user-unfriendly, as the search&find function of the internet, does not work. However, it's information is very helpful. To make things easier, I'll say that the pitcher reports start on page 115 with Don Aase.

No, no one has done Paige but who ever does want to do him I would suggest using Alvin's pitching form (the code is at http://www.mlbppworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=407)
And an Custom upgraded Lvl.1 Cutter or Splitter with several less slowdown upgrades to be as close to his extreme fastball's

Pitch Names were:
Hesitation Pitch
Bat Dodger
Hurry-Up Ball
Midnight Rider
Four-Day Creeper
Nothin’
Bee Ball
Jump Ball
Trouble Ball
The Two-Hump Blooper
Long Tom
The Barber
Little Tom

Yeah, he'd be mad hard to make. A ton of different pitches, various levels. 100+ top speed. High A stamina and control. To go along with all the abilities.

Tough, but by no means impossible. In many ways the version of myself I did a few weeks ago is similar to how Paige would go: 5 maxed out breaking balls (including getting the original pitch with a number of upgrades), 103MPH TOP SPD, ~200 CTRL and STAM, plenty of blue abilities. On mine, I pumped CON up to a B, but with a pure pitcher those Strength and Technique points could go straight to CTRL and STAM to boost those even higher.

Paige would probably require more pitches than 5 to be realistic. But not all maxed-out. Nevetheless, unless you feel like reloading more multiple Goodjob's, you'd have to get a Genius, and still Goodjobs.

There is also the fact that he was "The Fastest Pitcher to Grace the Earth" so it would be better if he had 105 speed because Alvin's pitch form has a long enough windup to hit the A button enough to hit the top speed when your at full motivation

this was proven by editing a pitcher

Yeah, my suggestion above was more about "similar" than exact. Instead of 5 maxed out pitches you could spread those 31 breaking ball upgrades (4 level 7 and a level 3 2SFB) acrosss even more pitches. I'd keep the L3 2SFB, but with the remaining 28 upgrades you could turn 4 L7 pitches into 7 L4 pitches or 6 L5 pitches (with a couple of extra bumps). Or you spread it out even further. Based on the descriptions I've read of him, I'd give him the following pitches:

2SFB
SIFB
H-SNK
SNK
CB
DCB
H-SLD
CUT

It might be worth it to do Mariona when he was at his best, or at least had his best stuff. That would include a l97 MPH (Maybe more because pitchers rarely throw their highest and he actively reaches his highest), a level 7 cutter, a level 2 2-seamer, no positive or negative fastball life, Doctor K, RSP 5, Poise 5, pick off, perhaps golden glover, A/B fielding and error resistance, poker face, star, intimidator, 5 consistency and durability, good delivery, good pace, good reflexes, and perhaps relax. I know this is a lot, but seeing the players you guys are capable of and have made this should be no problem. Or you can cheat like me and edit Mariano to be a better closer ;).

Yes to both, look earlier in this thread or the "post your characters" thread.
