How do you guys get such good players. It must take a while!

It definitely can take awhile. I'm working on a similar concept using a real former player (Wes Ferrell, widely considered the best hitter pitcher in history who stayed a pitcher his whole career). I'm stuck at Year 3 March Week 3, reloading for Dr. Goodjob. Saw him twice in about 3 hours of playing off and on over the weekend, failed the challenge both times. I need 3 successful challenges between now and the end of the season to get the stats where I want them, so I'm refusing to take any other RE's and advance the timeline at this point. T E D I O U S....

I flew out to Orlando this evening for a conference that runs all this coming week, so I won't get a chance to work on it anymore until next weekend.

I just rolled another Genius and I am pretty sure I can possibly get all A's! Stay tuned.

I had to throw that genius away because I messed up! It might be a while before I have the motivation to start again.

Sorry to hear that MrWelz; it sucks putting all that time in and then having to start over from scratch. I feel your pain.

How'd you mess up?

For some reason I didn't make the team on the first yr. I was running things so tight I thought I had everything under control. I already had safe pitch and lucky, two very annoying abilities to get. But apparently I didn't workout enough . I said forget it, I can make that up. I answered yes to dad, he never came back. I said forget it I don't need a special pitch. Well I didn't realized that I needed to make the team to be captain the next yr which I also use to trigger getting Becky's number. So that was the third strike for me.

It's funny that I've done this so many times and thought I had it on lockdown and then can't even make the team in the first yr, something so easy to do.

Oh how I hate to love this game.

MrWelz, are those for PS2 or Wii version? Having trouble with the second one.

I've done the reliever and catcher successfully.
Haven't had time for the starter, though.

I'm having the same problem. It's the starter that's giving problems.

I checked what I wrote down and it seems to match. I tried to be extra careful when I wrote it down but it's always possible that I messed up.
Has anyone got Jr. Goodjob to work?
If not, I'll repost tomorrow.

How long does it normally take to pull a Genius out of the game? I've been trying. I got a really good one with good starting stats but of course he had a toothache and pr sense

So far from what I've been able to draw off of this forum it seems that it is about a 1 in 50-1000 chance some people can get them quickly and some cant i have never gotten it myself and it is very hard to obtain

One time I got it in 4 tries! But now I seem to be getting paid back because this time is taking a ridiculous amount of time. I swear, I might be creeping up on that 1000 mark.

Over the past few days I've probably tried 50-100 times and still havent gotten it
