Yes, the Haunt is my AAA team. I picked St. Augustine as my AAA team because it is one of my favorite cities in Florida, that and it is the most haunted city in the US. Hence, St. Augustine Haunt :wink:

Dan Johnson is on fire. Through 5/22 his numbers are (Approximate cause I don't have them in front of me, except his HR numbers) .460/20/60

Pelicans make roster changes

Jacksonville- Gordon Borkowski was sent down to AAA St. Augustine and Rudy Tollberg was recalled and will work out of the Pelicans pen. Borkowski will be replaced in the rotation by Norton Truby, who has been working out of the pen since returning from the DL. Truby will get his first start since going on the DL next week while Jacksonville is in Seattle to play the Mariners.

Kansas City Royals (Meche 2-4) VS. Jacksonville Pelicans (Bouknight 1-0) 5/22

Jacksonville- The Pelicans got another fantastic start from Zane Bouknight and took the opening game of a three games set last night against the Kansas City Royals.
The Pelicans opened the scoring in the fourth. Eric Cressend reached on a fielders choice, Dan Johnson doubled and Mike Sedlacek followed with a 2 RBI single. Sedlacek moved up on a passed ball and scored on a Kirk Orie RBI single.
In the fifth, Kansas City got consecutive singles from Tony Pena, John Buck and David DeJesus to load the bases. The only run KC got in the inning was an RBI single from Estaban German.
The Pelicans would add a run in the seventh on a Rocco Baldelli RBI single and the Royals matched the run in the top of the eighth when German hit a solo home run.
Ken Merricks came on in the ninth and shut the Royals down, earing his 15th save of the year.

New York Yankees (Pavano 0-2) VS. Jacksonville Pelicans (Wesson 1-1) 5/24

Jacksonville- The Pelicans only mustered 5 hits, couldn't take advantage of Karl Pavano and his 10+ era, and were shut out for the first time this season last night against the Yankees.
Bobby Abreu singled in the Yankee first and Alex Rodriguez belted a two run home run to put New York up early.
In the third, Jhonny Damon and Derek Jeter singled. Jeter was thrown out at second on a fielders choice and Damon scored from third on a passed ball.
The Yankees put the game away for good in the seventh, adding an insurance run on a Abreu RBI single.

Jacksonville Pelicans (Diagle 3-2) @ Seattle Mariners (Silva 4-3) 5/26

Seattle- The Pelicans got one of their best pitching performances of the year last night as Sam Diagle went five strong innings while striking out seven; and Jacksonville cruised to an easy win.
In the first inning, Dan Johnson added to his growing RBI total, with an RBI ground out following a Dustin Huffman single and an Eric Cressend double.
The Mariners responded in the second, getting no out singles from Richie Sexon, Adrian Beltre, and Jose Vidro. Seattle would just get one run out of the threat on a Kenji Johjima RBI single.
The Pelicans took the lead back the next inning. Huffman laid down a SAC bunt to move Rocco Baldelli to second, and Dan Johnson followed with an RBI double.
In the sixth Jacksonville pulled away. A solo home run from Dan Johnson opened the inning. David Oropesa reached on a fielders choice, Kirk Orie singled and Jason Cerros drove both runners in with a 2 RBI double.

LA Angels (O'Day 0-0) VS. Jacksonville Pelicans (Crabtree 4-1) Date

Jacksonville- The Pelicans earned their fifth straight win last night, using a big sixth inning to down the LA Angels last night 8-4.
Jacksonville powered their way to an early lead, getting a solo home run from Jason Cerros in the second. In the third, a Kirk Orie single and a two run homerun from Eric Cressend put the Pelicans up three.
Garret Anderson put the Angels on the board with a solo homerun in the fourth.
After giving up just a solo homerun to Anderson, Adam Crabtree cruised into the sixth, when he ran into trouble. Gary Matthews Jr started the inning with an infield single and Vladimir Guerrero doubled. Garrett Anderson then put LA on top with a two RBI double, ending Crabtree's night.
The Pelicans fought back in the bottom of the inning. Hal Darula and Jason Cerros singled to open the inning and Victor Senreiso walked to load the bases. Don Henson and Rocco Baldelli followed with RBI singled. Victor Senreiso scored on a passed ball and David Oropesa capped the scoring with a two RBI double.
The Angels made some noise in the ninth. Torri Hunter doubled and Howie Kendrick drove him in with an RBI single. Jose Rijo then got Mike Nappoli to ground out and Micur Izturis to strike out to end the game.

Johnson, Cressend win awards for the month of May

Jacksonville- Dan Johnson was named AL Player of the month for May. For the month, Johnson batted .490 with 13 homeruns and 34 RBI's. This was Johnson's first time winning the award this season.Eric Cressend was named AL rookie of the month for the month of May. Cressend batted.391 with 7 homeruns and 33 RBI's for the month. This is Cressend's second time winning the award this season.

Pittsburgh Pirates (Snell 2-4) VS. Jacksonville Pelicans (Truby 3-1) 6/3

Jacksonville- The Pittsburgh Pirates had more in game injuries then runs and the Pelican offence did just enough to back up Norton Truby, who shredded the Pirate lineup by striking out fourteen, as the Pelicans took game two of the three game set
Freddie Sanchez had to leave the game in the third after injuring his side trying to make a leaping catch.
The Pelicans got one of their two runs in the fourth. David Oropesa doubled to deep center and Kirk Orie drove him in with an RBI single.
The Pirates lost Jack Wilson in the fifth. Wilson made a great diving stop going to his left, and landed awkwardly. Wilson would have to leave the game.
Jacksonville added an insurance run in the sixth. Eric Cressend walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Dan Johnson drove him in with an RBI single.
Truby ran into trouble in the eighth. Doug Mienkewitz singled and advanced to second with no one out. Truby got tough, striking out Jose Bautista, Ronnie Paulino and Nate McLouth in consecutive at-bats to end the inning.
Ken Merrick pitched a perfect ninth, striking out the side to, to end the game.
Pittsburgh did get some good news after the game regarding Sanchez and Wilson. Neither player was seriously injured and should be in the lineup for tomorrow nights series finale.

Jacksonville Pelicans (Crabtree 4-1) @ Florida Marlins (Nolasco 2-3) 6/6

Miami- The Pelicans bested the Marlins last night in a 13 inning marathon, taking game one of an interleague series with Miami at Dolphins stadium.
The Marlins put up the first runs of the game in the second. Luis Gonzalez doubled and Mike Jacobs drove him in with an RBI double. Jorge Cantu followed two batters later with an RBI single.
The Pelicans took the lead in the fourth. Dustin Huffman singled and Eric Cressend drew a walk. Dan Johnson followed with a three run home run.
Florida tied the game in the fifth. Alfredo Amezaga doubled and stole third. Hanley Ramirez drove him in with a single to left.
The game moved into extra innings. The Marlins best chance to score came in the twelfth. With the bases loaded and two out, Dan Uggla hit a slow, deep ground ball to third. Eric Cressend got to the ball quickly and was able to throw out Uggla by half a step to end the threat.
The Pelicans finally broke through in the thirteenth. Alexander Dawley drew a lead-off walk and advanced to second on a pass ball. Victor Senreiso, pinch hitting for Ben Totten, singled. Rocco Baldelli then lined an RBI double to left center giving the Pelicans the lead. Dustin Huffman added an RBI single, Baldelli scored on a passed ball and Dan Johnson added an RBI single.

Dominic Maza looks really good, gold glove is just another pretty good thing to add onto D contact and D fielding abilities, walk is a simulation killer. But Julio looks good too.
