A couple suggestions:

1) Add a monthly stats update, recapping the stats for each player to date
2) Maybe throw in some storylines, or at least add a little substance to the match summaries. Right now they're just "This guy scored. Then this guy scored. Mignolet made a horrible mistake and the other team scored. We played awful even though we barely lost."

Otherwise, this is a pretty solid log [unlike Mignolet's goaltending, heh]. YNWA

Alrighty, thanks for the input. I'll add some storylines now that I see this log has some interest. I'll make a stats update now. YNWA!

Team Meeting

Terry Smith: Hello, everyone. As you already know, we have clinched first place in Group C. However, we are not finished. This Barcelona game is important. If we can advance out of Group C without a loss, we can prove ourselves to be the best team in the world. As such, I want to see no slacking. Go hard on every attack. Close down on their strikers and midfielders, and especially don't let Messi control you on the pitch! We have already stunned Barcelona twice. Let's stun them again!

MATCH SUMMARY
Both sides were forced to battle the elements in a snowy match in Tottenham. Early on, Adam Lallana scored a quick goal on a breakaway. Tottenham played carelessly with the ball, and committed many bad passes. Phillipe Coutinho finally scored an EPL goal a few minutes later. Coutinho's good fortune ended as he was slammed into the goal post, knocking him out. There was no penalty awarded! Liverpool were determined to avenge the injury. Liverpool came out of the locker room with a purpose as Daniel Sturridge scored a goal off a hard tackle on Soldado, Tottenham's Coutinho. After the teams went back-and-forth tackling players, the refs had enough, and gave Glen Johnson a red card. Daniel Sturridge added on an extra goal in the 90th minute.

FINAL:

Liverpool 4

Goals:
Lallana '11 (3)

Post Match Press Conference

Reporter: I think you know what I am going to ask, but what are your thoughts on the Johnson red card?
Terry Smith: I think it was deserved. It says in the rules you can't tackle from behind. Glen was ill-disciplined and I have to let him know that such retaliation is unnecessary.

Reporter: But what about the Coutinho play? Was that red card deserving?
Terry Smith: No, certainly not. The two were fighting for the cross and unfortunately Coutinho was in the wrong spot and paid for it. He'll only miss one match anyway. What matters is that he finally scored in the EPL.

Reporter: Tottenham's manager called you an immature imbecile after Lamela's injury announcement. What are your thoughts?
Terry Smith: We don't need another rivalry. I won't respond to that.
